MTV greenlights seasons of House and Pimp

MTV said Thursday that it has greenlighted a third season of Run's House and a fifth season of Pimp My Ride.

The network has ordered eight episodes of Run's House that will begin taping in September. The show features Rev Run (Joey Simmons) of Run DMC as he balances running a successful footwear company while raising five children, ages 9-23--plus another one on the way.

Meanwhile, Pimp My Ride's fifth season will include 16 episodes. The car makeover show is hosted by rapper Xzibit.
