... Good news for all you lacrosse fans! MTV has renewed Teen Wolf for a second season after averaging 1.7 million viewers per episode, making it the network's highest-rated new series this season. [Deadline Hollywood]

... ABC has renewed Rookie Blue for a third season despite the fact that I only have a foggy recollection of it even being given a second season, but I guess that must be what's on now. The summer show is currently the number-one show in its time slot on Thursdays. But one has to wonder whether it's stunting Missy Peregrym's road to stardom. And I'm not being sarcastic. [EW]

... OMG you guys Breaking Bad debuts this Sunday are you so pumped I'm so pumped because I love that show seriously it's amazing *deeeeep breath* it's been so long since it's been on I've been dying to see it and watch Bryan Cranston do his thing man! Okay, I've calmed down. Anyway, OMG you guys AMC is going to air a sneak preview of The Walking Dead's second season during Sunday's Breaking Bad premiere I'm so excited I love that show it has all these zombies and it's scary and Rick Grimes is badass and it's based on a comic bo—[Shut up! Geez! Here's the link: AMC]

... America's pastime is past its time, apparently. Yesterday's midsummer classic, also known as Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, hit a ratings low for the second year in a row. I think we all know why: because Derek Jeter is a huge jerk. [NY Times]

... House's Jesse Spencer will not be pulling an Edelstein this fall. The actor has signed on for the show's eighth season, where he will return to his role as Dr. Robert Chase. [TV Guide]

... Speaking of people who used to be on House, Kal Penn has found a new gig. Penn, who left the show abruptly to work at the White House, is returning to acting via CBS' How I Met Your Mother. He'll play a love interest for Robin (Cobie Smulders) in a recurring role. [TV Line]

... 7th Heaven star and Super 8 stoner David Gallagher is joining The Vampire Diaries as a werewolf named Ray Sutton. [TV Line]

... Encore, a branch of Starz Entertainment, is getting into original programming, and kicking things off with miniseries. Its first project, announced today, is an adaptation of Moby Dick, starring William Hurt, Ethan Hawke, and nerd fantasy Gillian Anderson. Its second project, also announced today, is The Take, an adaptation of Martina Cole's crime novel that will star Tom Hardy. No word yet on the amount of boobs and violence we'll see in either series. [Deadline Hollywood]

should've just said "MTV Renews The Werewolf Diaries For Season 2", it's a good enough show but "Teen Wolf" doesn't fit the show that well, it's nothing like the movie(s), but atleast they made an effort to have an actual werewolf, even though it kind of sucked, and not just throw a real wolf in a scene. I don't like cop shows so i'm never going to watch Rookie Blue, but if i ever had a reason it'd be for Missy Peregrym. Isn't it a Canadian show and ABC just picked it up for the US like CBS did with Flash Point?

Teen Wolf managed to become a great Were-Wolf series! They really manage to build up tension, the characters have depth, and the actors really do a good to great job. I deeply enjoy seeing the *old* style Were-Wolfs (bipedal, hairy, half-man half-wolf). I am so fed up with the newer versions of Were, which are solely tamed wolf-beast versions from your local zoo. I am looking forward to season 2 of Teen Wolf, so keep up the good work, MTV!

Oh, and Breaking Bad FTW!!! (who else, by the way, did buy the italian song *Crapa Pelada* from the group *Quartetto Cetra* of last seasons final episode? hrhr)

Rookie Blue seems decent. I'm surprised it keeps getting renewed for summers. I didn't bother watching it because I figured it would get cancelled. Opps!
