Lone Star isn't so alone anymore.
ABC's ensemble drama My Generation was canceled after just two episodes, making it the second broadcast network show to bite the dust since the 2010 fall season kicked off its grand opening just two weeks ago (Fox's Lone Star was the first show to go).
Things weren't looking good for the program after its first episode, which rang in a paltry 1.6 rating among 18-to-49-year olds, a number that spells doom for anything not on The CW. It needed a big bounce back in its second episode, but didn't even come close, posting a 1.1, which is basically a suicide note.
To My Generation characters Anders, Rolly, Steven, Dawn, Brenda, Caroline, Jacqueline, Anders, Kenneth, and The Falcon, may all your stories be wrapped up by fan fiction or schmaltzy graphic novels. And remember, the 20-year reunion is just 10 years away!

After just TWO episodes?!?!?!? I was still trying to figure out if I liked it or not. The show had some potential. I'm sure there is research on it, but just how do you know a show isn't good when it hasn't even had time to find it's place??? Well at least one like this one. Outlaw, as much as I like Jimmy Smits, just didn't work for me as a legal drama. Lone Star, the previews completely turned me off. But the idea behind this one . . . This one needed more time. There was too much character development left on the table. SMH
The acting was supposed to be bad, they were pretending to be real people duh!!!
every f***n time I try to start watching a new show, this happens. ABC doesn't know the first thing about what is good, they have been doing this for many years, maybe they can bring back Flash Forward. How is running last weeks Grey's Anatomy going to bring them higher rankings, already watched it last week, now I am watching another network. Real smart move ABC, maybe I can get a job with them and teach a thing or two about good shows. When shows like the Ghost Whisperer get multiple seasons there is something wrong, guess the key to success is a big rack!!!
I liked this show too. I was wondering why I couldn't find this week's episode. I thought it was an interesting show. Nothing amazingly special, but still good enough to watch. I hate being introduced to characters, getting curious about them, and then they just disappear.
Great! Hopefully we can get a new Grey's Anatomy Spin-off! = /

I watched it and wondered what was going to happen. Yeah I think that is something that fan fiction is going to have to pick up the storylines.
Not happy about this!!! I really liked the show and was looking forward to the rest of the season. :(

It was defiantly not a documentary but I did enjoy how they took all the world events and showed how it effected people. Its too bad the acting was so bad -I think if it was produced a different way it would have been a great show. I don't think it was the actors fault it was so bad.

I WILL miss the show because it's not like anything we've watched so far. Yes, some of the "documentary" seemed not believable, but that's a TV show, for God's sakes.
i liked the show, but i didn't like the documentary aspect. it's better than a bunch of new, and old, shows though so of course it gets canceled
nope, too many characters and stories not told in a linear format usually dont do well.

I watched the pilot and half of the second episode and was bored to death
I am GLAD it is gone.I was excited about this show until I found out it wasn't real. It isn't as interesting knowing that the events didn't happen.
I really wanted to watch this show it looked good but its stupid to put a show on thursday night when every other great show is on like Community, TBBT and Bones at the same time oh well
