My Network TV, the new Fox television network that will compete with The CW, announced it has landed five more affiliates. The deals bring My Net's total distribution up to 73 percent of the US, with 126 markets.
The stations MyNet signed up are KJZZ, in Salt Lake City, WNEM-DT, in Flint-Saginaw, Michigan, KXLY4-2, in Spokane, Washington, KEVU in Euguene, Oregon, and WMYW in Wilmington, Delaware.
My Network TV will launch September 5 with the telenovela soaps Desires and Secret Obsessions, the latter starring Bo Derek. Last month, the network annnounced they have also signed up Maria Conchita Alonso, Dayanara Torres, and Sean Young to star in new dramas in development.
Originally, that day was also going to be the launch day of The CW, the new network formed from the ashes of UPN and The WB. This week, some CW affiliaters speculated that the new launch date will be September 18, although no official word has come from the network itself. So far, The CW has distribution in 90 percent of the US.
Some of the pilots The CW has announced include the Nick Lachey sitcom She Said, He Said and Aquaman.

My Net TV needs work on its programming, for example either airing Fox's old and new shows or at least moving 4kids.tv to it airing at least four or more hours per day, to not make My Net TV just airing two hours of primetime like UPN did. Make the network be Fox related with 4kids.tv, Fox shows(any catagory),and Fox movies(any catagory).

As for WMYW in Wilmington, currently no station in Delaware has those call letters. Does anyone know which station it will be?
