The N, the nighttime digital cable network aimed at teens, is producing its first original hour-long dramatic thriller, and expects to launch it next fall.
Whistler is set at a seemingly perfect world-class mountain resort where a local snowboarding legend and Olympic gold medalist (David Paetkau) is found dead on the slopes. His death changes the lives of his friends and family, who all happen to have hidden secrets.
The 13-part series, which will shoot in and around Vancouver through April, was created by Kelly Senecal, who also wrote the first two episodes.
"Teens will love Whistler's unique blend of drama and mystery," Tom Ascheim, executive vice president and general manager at the N, said Wednesday.
The cast also includes Nicholas Lea, Ingrid Kavelaars, Chris Shyer, Jesse Moss, Amanda Crew, Brendan Penny, Haley Beauchamp, Holly Dignard, and Adam J. Harrington.

No, just The Mountain. It was on the WB for not even an entire first season before it was cancelled. It'll most likely face an even worse fate on a nighttime digital cable network.

Hmm...can anyone say The Mountain redux?
Didn't this show used to be called "The Reuinion Mountain?"
