Naomi Watts Will Go Fifty Shades In Netflix Thriller Series

Two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts will star in Gypsy, a psychological thriller series coming to Netflix in 2017. Watts will play Jean Holloway, a therapist who gets dangerously involved with the people her patients tell her about. The 10-episode first season is being written by Lisa Rubin. The first two episodes will be directed by Fifty Shades of Grey's Sam-Taylor Johnson.

Watts began her career as a soap opera actress in Australia before breaking out in the film Mulholland Dr., so it's a bit of a return to TV for her. She'll also appear in Showtime's Twin Peaks revival.

I'll have to wait and see the critics on this. I have nothing against N. Watts but this doesn't sound like something interesting to watch for me. The whole Mullholand Drive was enough in terms of this mix of sex, psychological stuff and Miss Watts.

I don't get the title?
Anyways, excited for this because Naomi Watts and also because I think Netflix can do justice to that logline unlike network channels.
Also, another high profile casting for a Netflix original.

I like her and Netflix seems to have its shit together--so far. Only two episodes of Jessica Jones to go (for me) and people are so right when they say it's the best thing Netflix has done to date. Sure, I'll watch it!

IIRC, she said in the fairly recent Graham Norton interview about doing this and the 'joy' of nude scenes with her costars!
She's a class actress and I'll watch this for sure. Reminds me that I haven't watched Mulholland Drive for a while...
