NBC Orders Anchorman-esque Comedy From Will Ferrell

NBC has ordered three comedy pilots from Will Ferrell, Jason Katims and Dan Mazer, TVGuide.com has learned.

Set in 1962, Mission Control is a workplace comedy in the tone of Anchorman that examines what happens when a strong woman butts heads with a macho astronaut during the race to land on the moon. David Hornsby will write and executive-produce with Ferrell and Adam McKay.

Ellen More of Less tells the story of an average size woman reinventing herself in life and love after losing 100 pounds. Parenthood's Katims will executive-produce with J.J. Philbin, who will write the project.

When her newly divorced brother moves in, a wife and her husband start to see their marriage in a whole new way in the comedy Love Is Relative from Sacha Baron Cohen's long-time producing partner Mazer. Mazer, whose credits The Dictator and Borat, will write and executive-produce with Tom Werner and Tom Lassally.
