NBC Pulls Best Friends Forever From Its Schedule

Best friends forever, my ass! NBC has totally unfriended the midseason comedy Best Friends Forever, pulling it from the schedule after just four episodes. The sitcom only filmed six episodes in the first place, and NBC has not announced if or when it will air the remaining two episodes. So don't get your hopes up for a magical renewal, because the show is as good as canceled.

The 8:30pm Wednesday-night slot will now go to a new episode of Betty White's Off Their Rockers, which also airs at 8pm. Ouch! Being replaced by an old-person's prank show. Probably not an ideal way to go out.

Like Bent, Best Friends Forever never really stood a chance thanks to wacky scheduling and a seemingly indifferent attitude from the network. Maybe this is the result of Comcast's slow takeover of NBC, maybe it's just poor planning. Who knows?

Best Friends Forever: Will you miss it? Did you even know it was on?

The little girl was so sweet, was looking forward to hearing her latest 'hot mouth' quotes each episode. The actors placed their talents in this one with their quirky stunts and seamless chemistry Best Friends Forever was a winner. This comes as a huge shock to me. Maybe you are right, it probably didn't stand a chance.

probably the reason why shows don't make it is because people think well why get attach if it gets cancelled..

I just found out about this by checking my "on demand" channel. Too late to watch ep.1, but checked out ep. 2 and I loved it! Was looking forward to seeing more, but guess that won't happen. Too bad. Good show.

My earliest recollection of Best Friends Forever was seeing the headline that it had been pulled from the schedule...

Thanks NBC, saw it once, needed to be put out of its misery.

I don't even understand why NBC green lighted BFF on the first place. This show wouldn't even survived 10 years ago, a time when tv was so much simpler

I will not miss Best Friends Forever - didn't like the characters - but I will miss bent, which wasn't really that bad.

Never saw it, was barely aware that it was on :/ idk if it was good or not but NBC really does need better marketing skills

I liked the show, and come on, it's loads better than The Office is now. cancel that instead. I think it's stupid to leave things unaired especially if it's less than 5 episodes left. I mean, they already paid them didn't they? and I like Off Their Rockers but it gets old, they use the same jokes too much, like that Asian man who karate chops food.. that's so stupid. seeing it once a week is more than enough.

I think NBC hates themselves and the shows they air, they barely give anything a chance.

LOL NBC is definitely full of self-deprecating masochists

Which I'm totally fine with...as long as they renew community :P

This show had some good ideas but the cast was awful and made it so unwatchable especially Lennon Parham she is unbelievably annoying and a very bad actress

Here's to hoping that this means one step closer to a Community renewal. *fingers crossed*

It was funny. I'm really looking to down-size my TV schedule come fall, so it was nice to watch a show that was decent that you knew wouldn't be back.
