NCIS Adds 24's Sarah Clarke as a New Agent, but Is She Replacing DiNozzo?

Don't worry, America, the NCIS crew is preparing itself for the major loss of agent Anthony DiNozzo at the end of this season by adding some new agents to the mix. News out of the Naval Criminal Investigation Service is that Sarah Clarke, who previously kept America safe on 24, will join the team as FBI special agent Tess Monroe.

Monroe will make her debut in the last two episodes of this season of NCIS, with the possibility of returning for the already announced Season 14 as a series regular. If so, drinks are on Clarke!

But who is this agent? Tess is smart, tough, and a multiple divorceé with no kids who thinks of her fellow agents as family. She'll be a recent transfer from Washington, D.C. who moves to the New York City branch.

Clarke's addition is an obvious move in reaction to the previously announced departure of Michael Weatherly as DiNozzo, an original cast member who is calling Season 13 his last.

NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.

Looking forward to seeing Sarah Clarke in her new role is NCIS Agent Tess Monroe. I know it will be a period of adjustment on both sides, but I think she can bring something interesting to the mix. And I certainly have no problem with seeing a balanced team, 2 men and 2 women.

Don't don't please don't cast Sarah Clark as a regular. She will kill this show. Cast Duane Henery. He is a fit. Clark is the worst

I agree. I don't know her from 24 but I was not impressed with her on the last episode of NCIS. The British guy would be much better. I realize it will be hard to replace Weatherly but at least give it some effort.

Can't stand Sarah Clarke. If she becomes permanent, it'll be be the death of NCIS. Duane Henry, on the other hand, was perfect.

Ever since "24" I have disliked this woman. The character she portrays on NCIS is too slick by half. I don't like her at all. Give her the boot. She has too much negative baggage from her previous notorious role.

sorry but these two don't have the charisma to replace Dinozzo. He just is one of the characters that helps to make a program good. I am sure they are both good actors, but sorry, a total FUBAR

"kept America safe on 24,"

Clearly you didn't watch 24. Talented actress who played a memorable and very evil character who killed jack bauer's wife and tried to kill Jack as well.

My question is...this says she will be an fbi agent. So does that mean she's taking Tony's place ? Or does Fornell die and she's taking his place? Because I read on 2 other sites Duane Henry was taking Tony's place

Duane Henry?...The final nail in the NCIS coffin if that is the case. Looks like this is the LAST series I will be watching

A female Gibbs, in other words.

No, Gibbs is loyal to his team. Plus, he knows you don't move to DC to join the New York team. I can only imagine the ribbing he is going to give Fornell about the directional knowledge of FBI agents.

New York is not in DC. New York is in New York State.

Exactly. According to the bio she moved to D.C. to join the New York team. Something seriously wrong with her sense of direction.

Haha, initially thought it read Sarah Chalke, that would have been cool.

Adding another hot female to NCIS = GREAT! It's also smart as likely that a male would be compared/criticized vs Weatherly (vs being judged independently).

I would love to see her as a replacement for Tony. Can see her as a 'Nina' type agent, going back and forth(Making for new storylines). Also, as a 'tough' agent batting heads with Gibbs. Would make a great addition.

Hopefully she will only be in a few episodes. The team doesn't need another member. It didn't even need Bishop.

If they are going to poach from the FBI, bring over Ron Sacks, or Krieger. The audience is already familiar with the characters, and would probably care more about them.

Too many of us remember Nina to find Sarah Clarke believable as a loyal NCIS agent. They may as well name her Michelle Lee.

I don't understand. If she's recently transferred from D.C. to NYC, how can she be part of the team? They are in D.C.

BTW, I didn't watch 24, so I have no preconceived ideas about her.

Tim made a mistake. It's the other way around. I quote TVline: Tess, an FBI Special Agent in her late 30s who has recently transferred to D.C. from New York City’s Counter-Terrorism Unit.

Wait, so she's from the CTU? Is 24 in the same universe and will she turn out to be a traitor like on that show?

You only hire Nina Myers for your show when you want a bitch who turns out to be a double agent. That obvious twist ruined that season of Covert Affairs too.

Maybe they won't do that this time LOL
I like NCIS, but Ziva leaving hurt the show and now DiNozzo, the show just needs to let it go and end already. The early seasons were 10 times better than recent seasons. The only episodes I've really enjoyed this year are the ones centrally involving Ducky.

The show has improved so much both with Ziva out, & Bishop in. I believe it will continue to get better!
