Lohan as Taylor - seriously, I had to check the date, sure that we'd entered some time warp and it was April 1st all over again. But, then again, you only have to look at the title to realise that a serious movie this ain't gonna be. They probably deserve each other.

wanting to be a good-famous is one thing, wanting to play Elisabeth Taylor is another.. that is way too ambitious for Lohan, not only because she is (was?) a "bad" famous, but also, being -or trying to be- a good person, does not necessarily make you a good actor.. she should try to be good, in her own league and leave the legacy of Taylor alone..

Upstairs, Downstairs was a series airing on BBC, which was a revamped edition of a show of the same name and premise that aired when my mother used to watch TV. (a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago). It was basically a poor mans Downton Abbey. It didnt have Maggie Smith, so it couldnt possibly have been good. Fact.

I presume you're referrring to the revamp in that last para? The original UD knocks DA into touch on every level. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy DA. But Fellows can't delve into the real social drama and historical trauma the way that UD did so well. He skates along the surface and produces a high class historical soap, missing the beats of poignancy and real drama. The sort of thing the original UD was superb at. But, I agree, the revamp wasn't a patch on the real thing.

Everybody must like Noah Wyle! In my humble fan-obsessed opinion. Defiance sounds cool, especially with Julie Benz on there.

I can't decide whether this is the moment to point out that Elizabeth Taylor is probably spinning in her grave like kebab meat on a rotating spit, or if I should wish Lindsay good luck on her attempt to move from the D-list up to the C-list. I think I'll just do both.

I have no reason to wish Lindsay to fail or criticise her attempts at getting back into acting. But I don't feel like supporting her any more either. I did that before, and for a long time too, but when she didn't clean up her act after so many chances that were given her, I kind of lost interest in her as a character. I've always thought that when a child acts, it's a sign of intelligence. Very few children have the capability or discipline required to act out complex emotions in front of a camera, and if they do, they must be quite developed. But Lindsay's antics as an adult haven't shown that she would be gifted in the mental department. And now she is doing all that work on her face too, what a shame. Hopefully at least the make-up department for the Taylor movie is gifted at what they do.

If I could make one famous person disappear and never be heard from again, it would be Linds ... No. No, it would probably be Justin Bieber.

But if I could make two famous people disappear and never be heard from again, it would definitely be Lindsa ... Actually, #2 would have to be the Kardashians (they're all one entity, right?).

Okay, if I could make THREE famous people disappear and never be heard from again, Lindsay Lohan would be sooooo ousted!

There you have it. Lindsay Lohan: The third most annoying celebrity in the world.

I don't know... I think I could make up quite a list.

I think Lohan and Bieber will eventually take themselves out. I agree with you about the Kardashians, they are like cockroaches.

I find Nicki Minaj more annoying than Linds... Nicki Minaj hurts music with every single she releases.

Elizabeth Taylor and Linday Lohan don't even belong in the same sentence.

Even though it will be on SyFy, a show that has both Mia Kirshner AND Julie Benz certainly intrigues me. Seeing them both on screen will have my, ahem, heart excited...

I know it will get my blood pumping ... to a certain organ.

Lohan says she wants to be good-famous again....when was she ever either one? I hope they get Roger Corman to direct this flick....when in doubt, he can have Lohan fight a mutated animal while playing Taylor supposedly on the set making Cleopatra.

Well, Mean Girls. Of course, it might just have been Tina's script being so good that Lindsay couldn't screw it up, but it WAS a high point...
