News Briefs: More Cartoons, More Dr. Horrible, No More Saving Grace

... A sequel is in the works for Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog according to Nathan Fillion, one of the stars of the original online sensation. Mum's the word on the details, but we're hoping for a new title: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Twitter. [via Watch With Kirsten]

... Trey Parker and Matt Stone have released the original, previously unaired South Park pilot. The duo animated the episode, which resembles 1997's "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe," entirely by hand with construction paper. Watch it here. [via The Live Feed]

... Speaking of animation, Cartoon Network has picked up two new series, though airdates are yet to be set. The first, Regular Show, chronicles bored groundskeepers, and the second, Horrorbots, focuses on two teenage robots going through high school. [via Variety]

... Money issues have forced TNT to end Saving Grace, starring Holly Hunter, after its third season. Six new episodes will run this winter, and the remaining nine will air in summer 2010. [via The Hollywood Reporter]

... Kate Winslet is set to star in a new miniseries, adapted from the James M. Cain novel Mildred Pierce. Todd Haynes will direct, but no network deals have been made yet. [via Variety]
