Nicole Richie was arrested this morning in Burbank, California, for driving under the influence. The Simple Life star was booked into the Glendale police department at 4:50 a.m. and released at 7:15 a.m.
Police pulled Richie over after witnesses reported her driving the wrong way on highway 134. Officials tell TMZ.com that Richie admitted to smoking pot and taking the prescription drug Vicodin.
Richie was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, which could bring jail or a $1,000 fine. She was released on $15,000 bail.
"She failed the field sobriety test at the field, so she was placed under arrest," a Glendale police officer told reporters. "And she provided a sample for testing later on."
The police report indicates that Richie, who has denied having an eating disorder, weighed in at just 85 lbs.
In 2003, Richie pled guilty to heroin possession and is currently on probation. In September of this year, Simple Life costar Paris Hilton was also arrested for driving under the influence.
In early December, Prison Break actor Lane Garrison crashed his SUV into a tree, killing a 17-year-old male passenger.

It's funny and sad at the same time that right after Hilton is back in her life she not only goes back to drugs but drives under influence as well...
I guess I'd weigh 85 pounds too if my diet consisted of no food and lots of drugs and alcohol.

Nicole needs help. Going the wronmg way on a freeway could've killed her & someone else. She got off lucky. And eat, girl. 85 with your clothes on? Be beautiful on the inside - ditch those habits - and get a DD.

Nick Nolte I can understand, but Nicole Richie is really only a "celebrity" because you post stories like this about her.
Why doesn't TV.com just run articles on every Tom, Dick and Jane that happen to commit some sort of crime? Oh, wait. Most newspapers have a police blotter. So why should we care about this?
Nicole Richie isn't an "actress" (Nor is Paris Hilton, but that's another issue entirely) If anything, she's a spoiled rich brat who hasn't worked an actual day in her life. But then again, she did have a reality series. So if TV.com wants to post the misfortunes of everyone who has ever starred on a reality show, then I say bring on the Danny Bonaduce sub-site.
