Nigel Havers says his Coronation Street
character will have a dark side
In the soap, Nigel plays Lewis Archer, a gentleman escort who attracted the attention of Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) when they met at a function.
Nigel told This Is Nottingham: "I started in Corrie a month ago and I'm there until July - I gather my character has a real dark side but I don't know what it is yet."
He said of his stint in the soap: "I couldn't resist the idea of doing Coronation Street. I loved the idea of being Audrey's new man. I'm a huge Corrie fan."
Nigel, whose screen credits include The Charmer and Chariots Of Fire, is currently juggling his filming for the ITV1 show with a stint in a pantomime of Jack and the Beanstalk in Nottingham.
