Nine's new Monday nights

Channel Nine has revamped its Monday night offerings to include several fast-tracked shows from the US.

In an attempt to avoid the inevitable online streaming and torrenting of shows immediately after their US broadcast, Nine has secured the rights to screen brand new episodes of The Mentalist and Two and a Half Men just days after their American debuts.

Nine will also show brand new episodes of the hugely popular cop drama, CSI Miami, which can always be relied upon to pull in hordes of viewers.

Also returning to the top-rating crime thriller are fellow cast members David Caruso, Emily Procter, Adam Rodriguez, Eddie Cibrian and Jonathan Togo.

Top rating US drama Two and a Half Men will see the return of Charlie "Highest Paid Man In Television" Sheen and Jon Cryer, as they attempt to deal with the former's drink problems and the latter's womanising.

The new season of The Mentalist will see lead character Thomas Jane (Simon Baker) return once again to tackle his criminal nemesis, serial killer "Red John", along with Robin Tunney, Tim Kang, Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti.

Nine's new Monday line-up commences October 25 at 7.30pm.
