No Heroics finds its Prinze

Eric McCormack

In case you were wondering whether the Americanized version of the British comedy No Heroics was going to be any good or not, here's your first sign: Freddie Prinze Jr. has joined the cast. Feel free to draw your own conclusions.

No Heroics, an original comedy on the UK's ITV, is a sendup on superheroes with costumed crimefighters living among normal society. The show follows a group of superpowered friends who aspire to greatness, but don't mind using their powers to get laid or steal cigarettes. Prinze will play Ultimatum, the US version of Excelsior--the pompous, successful hero in the UK version.

Looks like Eric McCormack isn't too sure that his TNT series Trust Me will stick around for too long. The Will of Will & Grace has signed on to lead a new ABC comedy from Tad Quill (Dirty Sexy Money, Scrubs).

The part is his on the condition that his current show Trust Me does not get picked up for a second season, which is looking unlikely.

I watched the original and loved it. I hope they don't muck it up too much.

come one, Prinze is funny as...well you know as what lol, and no heroics is a kind-of the office show if you will which *did* do quite well in the States.... dont knock it till it airs. Its the thype of show that you dont need to try too hard to make it funny. Whoes adapting it? I hope CBS coz they can do comedy right....any other network and it WILL be a flop!

This will go the way of the American Red Dwarf...

Why not just watch the original?

With Freddie Prinze, Jr. in the cast, this idea is less appealing by the minute.

Freddie Prinze Jr as a superhero? Sounds like a miscast to me.

Ugh...I'm dissapointed that Freddie Prinze Jr. is going to be in this, he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.

Trust Me is pretty good, so it would be cool if it got a second season.
