Numb3rs adds cast member

The ranks of Numb3rs are growing this fall, when Rescue Me's Diane Farr joins the cast of the CBS crime drama.

Numb3rs follows FBI agent Don Eppes (Rob Marrow) and his mathematical genius brother Charlie (David Krumholtz) as they combine their unique and very different skills to solve the most baffling crimes in Los Angeles. The cases depicted in the show are based on actual events, and viewers are given a rare look at the way mathematics is used in the exciting world of police work.

Farr's character, a fresh graduate from the FBI Academy, joins Don and Charlie in their LA offices and aids them in their crime-solving efforts. She comes to the series to fill the space left by Sabrina Lloyd, who until recently played Don's partner, Terry Lake.

Farr, who currently stars on FX's Rescue Me as the first female firefighter in a New York City firehouse, has also appeared on shows such as The Job, Like Family, The Drew Carey Show, Loveline, and Roswell.

Numb3rs launches its fall season on Friday, September 23, at 10:00pm ET.

Good. I'm glad to see Diane is coming back. This show has been missing something, it must be her. I'm sorry, but I just don't like the new black girl with the big currly affro hair. The hair and her are just repulsive.

I went to junior high and high school with Diane. She is 37 and born in 1969.

Dianne Farr has to be one of the most BORING actresses to watch. She talks through her teeth and has zero expression in her face. Argh!!! She ruins the show for me.

I really liked Sabrina Lloyd in the Numb3rs show. Her character, Terry Lake, just needed to be focused on more. I hope the writers have Terry come back for a guest spot, cameo, visit, or whatnot. Diane Farr is a great actress in her own right I suppose. Her voice is an "acquired taste" and her character is finally starting to grow on me. I just hope her character doesn't keep dating Larry because he is like 16 years her senior. *Bleck!*

Soooo, what did happen to Ms. Lloyd anyway? Will she ever be back as a cast member on the show? I miss her on TV. I think she is a spunky, AWESOME talent!

I think Diane Farr is hot, and has an interesting acting style. She'll add some tension. They need an exciting female character. I liked Lloyd but her character was boring.
Can't stand the Indian girl. She's such a bad actress, she can't even do an Indian accent, which is very distinctive. My daughter thought she was Latina. But since she is dressed like a hooker in most episodes, I assume she wasn't hired for her acting ability.

This is one of the worst decisions a show could make. I can barely stand this actress' voice on "Rescue Me" but Numb3rs??? Oh gawd. We're going to lose some viewers!

I loved this show from the very beginning I saw it, but always wondered why there weren't more female regulars. I guess it will be a nice to get a new character...I just wish she didn't have to replace Sabrina, I'll really miss her! I guess we'll just have to wait for this fall to see if this Diane can do as good a job. :P

It's too bad, Sabrina Lloyd is ten times better looking that Diane Farr. They should at least replace her with someone as hot and talented. Bummer.

bah! Just give me more Navi Rawat instead! :-) My guess is she'll be the Sabrina Lloyd replacement, which sets her up more as the Rob Morrow (Don) love interest, which suits me fine, so long as Navi stays!

I love Rescue Me, and good riddance to Diane leaving. Though I can't believe there's going to be another season of Numb3rs. That show was acceptable for about 2-3 episodes, then it was just the same old crap. Much like CSI.
