Oprah's fancy clothes to be auctioned

Oprah Winfrey is the undisputed queen (and king) of daytime talk shows, as well as a film producer and actor. She is well -known for giving away extravagant gifts, such as new cars, to her audiences. Now, the Empress of Daytime is giving Chicago area residents the opportunity to own a part of her wardrobe.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the dapper television giant is set to auction off a suit by Chanel and an outfit by designer Gianfranco Ferre, both from her personal collection. The auction will take place at Chicago's Leslie Hindman auction house. Proceeds will go to charity.

Auction house owner Leslie Hindman herself gave Oprah's clothing style a ringing endorsement, saying "People are gaga over Oprah in general, aren't they? And she has darling clothes."

Let's hear it for the Empress' old clothes!
