PaleyFest '09 includes vampires, Cylons, nerds

Los Angeles' annual PaleyFest is quickly becoming one of the better chances for television fans to see their favorite stars up close in a casual setting. This year's lineup will be particularly of interest to die-hards, as several panels at the two-week-long event represent shows with a cult-like following.

The festival kicks off April 10 with the guys from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Danny DeVito, Rob McElhenny, Glenn Howerton, and Kaitlin Olson taking center stage, where they'll discuss the show, show clips, and answer questions.

The events are open to the public with Paley Center members getting first dibs on seats. Tickets go on sale to non-members March 1. There are also several (pricey) package deals on sale now that include tickets to after parties.

I've never heard of this convention before but it sounds really good. I have never seen one that long and with that many guests. Its worth the ticket even if only to go to see the Dr. Horrible panel though I wish Neil Patrick Harris was attending. Also it is nice to see that Pushing Daisies fans is getting at least some closure to the series even if the unaired episodes end in a cliffhanger.

This looks great! I hope they release all of these programs online or as DVD special features so that those who can't make it to L.A. can see them. The other panels I've seen from the Paley Center were wonderful.
