Paris Hilton will record Mafia song

It might be hard out there for a pimp, but it's easy out there for a celebrity ho.

Simple Life star Paris Hilton has been recording tracks for her upcoming solo album, and she has enlisted the help of Three 6 Mafia, the rap group that won an Academy Award in February for its song from the film Hustle and Flow, "It's Hard out There for a Pimp." The gold-toned hotel heiress joined the group in the studio to record tracks for an upcoming solo album.

On Tuesday, Mafia member Jordan Houston told his hometown newspaper, The Memphis Commerical Appeal, that the group was approached by Hilton, who said they simply must work together.

"We ran into her at a William Morris agency party, and she said she liked our song "Stay Fly" and asked if we would work with her. We let her listen to a dance track, and she really liked it and plans to record it tonight," he said.

Hilton has long planned to include music in her roster of artistic endeavors. In 2004, she publicly argued with Haley Duff over a song titled "Screwed"--each woman had recorded a version, and neither wanted the other to release hers.

For her once-and-future aural assault, tentatively titled Paris Is Burning, Hilton has enlisted musical luminaries Li'l Jon, JC Chasez, and Nick Carter.

In other Hilton news, filming on the fourth season of The Simple Life is currently under way for cable network E! The two stars, Hilton and former friend Nicole Richie, are having their parts filmed seperately. The two have been in a public falling out of unknown origin since last spring.

Last week, a Southern California couple filed a complaint with the show's production company and refused to sign a release to let a clip air in which Richie asked the couple's 11-year-old son if he thought she was a "MILF." When the boy asked what "MILF" meant, she spelled it out for him.
