Tangle, Australia's Next Top Model, Sound Relief and Selling Houses Australia are all nominated in a new-look ASTRA Awards.
Australian pay TV viewers will be asked to choose between shows like Selling Houses Australia, Sound Relief, Camp Orange and Australia's Next Top Model in the 2010 ASTRA Awards.
The eighth awards, to be staged in late June, are the equivalent of the Logie Awards in the subscription TV sector.
Also in the running as Favourite Program are Channel [V]'s B430, Football Superstar, The Contender Australia, and the sole international entry, Deadliest Catch.
This year the ASTRAs has combined international awards with local productions as one of several changes to its format.
Competing for Favourite Personality are Brendan Moar and Andrew Winter both from The LifeStyle Channel, Sarah Murdoch and Alex Perry from FOX8, plus Jimmy Barnes (MAX) XYZnetworks, Danny Clayton (Channel [V]), Bill Collins (FOX Classics) and Ruby Rose (MTV).
In the peer-voted categories Tangle, False Witness and 30 Seconds are all vying for the Most Outstanding Drama. Tangle actors are also popular in the Most Outstanding Actor nominations with Matt Day and Ben Mendelsohn going up against Dougray Scott for False Witness and Joel Tobeck for 30 Seconds.
Tangle's Justine Clarke and Catherine McClements will face off against Kat Stewart for 30 Seconds in Most Outstanding Actress -- but Stewart was also in Tangle.
As Most Outstanding Presenter the nominees are Brendan Moar (Dry Spell Gardening), Andrew Winter (Selling Houses Australia), Danny Clayton (Channel [V]), Sarah Murdoch (Australia's Next Top Model) and Brendon Julian (2009 Ashes series).
The Channel of the Year award, which has been repeatedly won by Nickelodeon, will be fought between Bio, The Lifestyle Channel, FOX8, FOX Sports and Nick Jr.
This year Satisfaction has only one nomination with Camille Keenan as Best New Talent. Movie Extra's comedy The Jesters also missed out, while Project Runway Australia was similarly ignored.
The 2010 ASTRA Awards will be held at a black-tie theatre-style event at the State Theatre in Sydney on June 24th.
Viewers will get to select their faves from Monday at www.astra.org.au/awards, via SMS and through the iTV application (MyStar and Foxtel IQ set-top boxes).
For the complete list of finalists, see the ASTRA Awards website.
