Pretty Little Liars, Memphis Beat, and HawthoRNe

What to watch on Tuesday, June 14.

Well, the networks may be taking a summer-long siesta, but cable's got your back, you guys! In addition to the amazing things that've been happening on HBO (*sob*), tonight TNT and ABC Family bust out some of their finest wares. Credit where credit's due!

SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 8pm, ABC Family
Pretty Little Liars
Tonight marks the long-awaited return of ABC Family's best show about children committing blackmail and murder. Tune in to see the "fallout" from last season's finale. Get it? Fallout? The bad guy fell out of a church, basically. Anyway, tonight the girls are in therapy because of it.

SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 9pm, TNT
Memphis Beat
Also returning for a second season are Jason Lee and his weird voice, still fighting crime in Tennessee. Tonight they'll investigate the death of a potentially shady cop, plus an internal-affairs investigator gets all up in everybody's beez.

SERIES PREMIERE, 9pm, ABC Family
The Nine Lives of Chloe King
America has spoken and it DEMANDS more shows about teenagers imbued with animal powers. Move over Teen Wolf, here's Catwoman Jr.: When an ordinary 16-year-old girl suddenly dies and reawakens with superpowers, she discovers she's the descendant of a master race of humanoid cats. Or something? Who knows. Teens!

SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 10pm, TNT
HawthoRNe
Jada Pinkett Smith is NOT amused. I don't know how relevant that is to this show, but it should be the opening description for anything Jada Pinkett Smith appears in. Anyway, her show about being an unamused nurse returns for a third season tonight, as Nurse Hawthorne's wedding to Tom suffers some setbacks and Candy goes into labor.

SERIES PREMIERE, 10:30pm, Comedy Central
Jon Benjamin Has a Van
This looks great. The erstwhile voice of Sterling Archer of Archer and Bob of Bob's Burgers gets his own live-action vehicle (VEHICLE!) in this here mockumentary-style news show. Tonight Benjamin travels south of the border, where he'll jeopardize his producer's chances of re-entry and submit a report about a dangerous drug lord.

12:37 am, NBC
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
LAURYN HILL, you guys! I don't know about you, but I was a teenager in the 1990s, so Lauryn Hill looms pretty large in my musical heart. True, she's spent most of the time since then being a reclusive, difficult, wealthy bag lady? Not sure. But it's still cause for celebration to see her on the television again. And performing alongside The Roots?! Holy moly. Is a new album too much to ask for? Probably.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, EatBids.com

Pretty Little Liars is PRETTY DAMN BORING! Nothing really happened, none of them did anything!
Is Jada nominated as a riotious-funny nurse like Jackie? No, its just a nurse show, but better than Jackie! Oh, and Jada is more funny that Edie Falco!!!!

I'm welcoming back Pretty Little Liars and also enjoying myself a little Covert Affairs. Maybe I should also check out the first episode of The Nine Lives of Chloe King, just to see how hot the actresses are.

Tuesdays are packed for me - gotta get some of my Tuesday fix on OD... I'll be watching Covert Affairs and catching up on NCIS and NCIS LA (which I missed during the fall season due to Tuesday conflicts), will be adding Nine Lives. I'm running a week behind on The Voice and watching it on OD. Gave up on White Collar last season, so may catch up on it on DVD sometime - or may not, it just depends.

White Collar, Covert Affairs, The Voice, Tosh.0, and probably The Nine Lives of Chloe King but mostly because i liked the girl when she was on The Gates, which was actually a good show.. it's also based on a book (series?) so it's got some legit backing lol followed by J.J. Abrams on Daily Show, Elle Fanning on Jimmy Kimmel, Ryan Reynolds on Letterman, and Betty White on Jimmy Fallon.
