Lane Garrison, who played Tweener on the Fox hit Prison Break, was apparently responsible for the fatal accident he was involved in this weekend. Garrison's SUV jumped a curb and smashed into a tree, killing a 17-year-old boy.
On Saturday, December 2, the 26-year-old actor was riding with two 15-year-old girls and one 17-year-old-boy through Beverly Hills when his SUV jumped a curb and crashed into a tree. Garrison was unharmed, but the boy was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The two girls were injured, one critically. The names of the minors haven't been released by police.
Police had been waiting to determine who was driving--now, they say it was Garrison. The actor has not been booked or charged at this time.
Garrison was recently responsible for another accident. In October, Web site TMZ caught video of Garrison leaving a Los Angeles nightclub and hitting a car.
Garrison's character was killed off this season on Prison Break. The actor next appears in the film Shooter.
Causing fatal accidents doesn't spell the end of a Hollywood career. In 2001, actress Rebecca Gayheart struck and killed a 9-year-old boy. She pleaded no contest to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charges and was given three years' probation, a suspended license, a $2,800 fine, and 750 hours of community service. In a morbid coincidence, one of the next projects she starred in was the 2003 Showtime series, Dead Like Me.

hee, hee..was he fleeing just because he was out of the prison..?
I'll go with the rest of the crowd and ask: Why'd he have the two girls with him ! :s But who ever knew this would happen?!
good stuff maarin

@christina1981, no, I'm not jealous... No way... There's not a single person in this world that can make me go into showbiz.... No way...I'm just not a celebrity obsessed person who thinks all the celebs are nice and communicative... No offense or anything, I'm not here to fight...
@dixyland & widadita - you seriously think is a sweet mommy's little boy? c'mon... it's hollywood... there's not a good person there... plus, I bet he was drunk... Also, do you really think that this shows his good sides: Garrison was recently responsible for another accident. In October, Web site TMZ caught video of Garrison leaving a Los Angeles nightclub and hitting a car. It's obvious what kinda person he is, I don't need any pictures to tell me that...
Only because he was with two 15year old girls and one 17year old boy, doesn't mean he did anything to them. Who cares what he was doing with them!!!
What's important is how bad this is for the family that lost the kid. They'll never be able to see him or talk to him.
Depending on the situation if he was driving under the influence, then yes he should be charged but if it was a cut off or malfunction with the car, lost control of the vehicule,...if in the end it wasn't anything he did wrong for, then no why should he be charged?
Only because he has money and is an actor doesn't make him "a bad guy". -"Well, if you just take a look at the picture, you can already see what a spoiled, rich, thinks-he's-cool kinda guy. " quoted by maaarin - who are you to judge someone by a picture?? are you for real. Are you jealous that he's famous? please tell me your joking. Its not like you know him personally. And you!,are the moron!moreless
"What was he doing with two 15-years old girls?"
i want to know too..
and i blieve Lane Garrison is a good actor!
I have not read all of the comments yet- but I'm so sorry for the kid Killed. I know a kid who was a friend of the kid that died and the girl that is hurt badly- I can't believe that Lane Garrison would be so irresponsible- from what I hear he was partying with the kids after buying them alcohol and he was going back for seconds- the boy tagged along because he thought it was not right for two 15 year olds to go alone with him- and look what happened- he died- he was not wearing a seat belt and the other girl too- the ones who were wearing a seatbelt were ok- Garrison and one of the girls. This should be a reminder for kids not to get into cars with those who drink - I know my friend who is young is very sad about this- A lot of alcohol and drugs are common in the Beverly hills area- The real victims here are the kids- and the family who lost an only child- Garrison should definitely be held responsible- for him to put his life in jeopardy and kids too- that's a sad thing.moreless
i personally know one of the girls that was in the car. she is the one in critical condition in the hospital. i wasnt close with her but she is someone i went to school with and thinking about her hurt is something that makes me want to cry. i have friends that are close with the boy that died. none of them were related to actor that is responsible for the injury and deaths of these minors. i dont know exactly why they were with him but he was driving and he a tree right by my school. everyone should pray for the people involved.who cares what the hell this guy looks like or what clothes he wears. are you people all that superficial? no one is "blindly following hysteria". a boy died and a girl is in critical condition.moreless
Who knows if this guy did it purposely or not- he could have been drunk.. and the whole thing with the minors looks really really weird. But I just hope he doesn't get off the hook because he's a celebrity. If some white trash guy did that, he'd be put in jail for a looong time.
First of all he did not intentionally go out a cause this accident, it's just that a accident. Second of all how to you judge someone by a photo?
My heart goes out to all involved. We are all entitled to our opinions needless to say. But lets not convict this young man before any of us know exactly what happened. It could have been that he was trying to avoid hitting a animal,or a malfunction of his car anything. So please hold off before passing judgement. We would all want our chance to tell our side of the story.
Sorry maaarin, I didn't realise that dressing like a tool meant he was a bad person. Accidents happen dude. Man people like you make me so angry!
There's no way to tell some one's personality through a picture. Don't jump to conclusions, obviously he can't drive but who knows what really happened when the boy died, it could have been some one else's fault.
I don't agree with maaarin. He may look that way it that picture, but he's not like that at all. I mean look at his others pictures. He's so sweet, so cute, he's TWEENER!! Well, even if he was the driver there's no way he could predicted what happened. People make accidents, everyday, people die!! It's sad I know but maybe it wasn't his fault! Maybe the wheel got something stuck on it. You never know.
"Causing fatal accidents doesn't spell the end of a Hollywood career. In 2001, actress Rebecca Gayheart struck and killed a 9-year-old boy."That seems a very cold way to look at this...
maaarin is right
Well, if you just take a look at the picture, you can already see what a spoiled, rich, thinks-he's-cool kinda guy... Seriously, the world would be better without idiots like him...They shouldn't throw him in a cell... They should take all his money away, throw away his clothes and dump him on the street... Then we'll see who cooler... God, those people make me so angry!
Damn I didn't know Gayheart killed a kid back in 2001.
I'd ask why you think any situation with a minor is suspect. We know nothing apart from somebody died and 3 people are pulling up the 'pedo man' card. Well done, you've just blindly followed hysteria.
I love ma boy Tweener!
Why is he driving kids 10 years younger than him?
There's something about "PRISON BREAK" I don't care for...and this dude is one reason. I think Mr. Garrison going to discover that being behind bars- for real- is more dangerous than the ones he faced before the cameras.
God it's bad enough celebs die but killing someone else!?
He's a dummy.
And I will ask too, "What was he doing with two 15-years old girls?"
I'm hoping they were sisters or cousins.
What was he doing with two 15-years old girls?
