Good news, Privileged fans: Your show isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The CW has ordered five more episodes of the rookie dramedy, giving it a boost of confidence and (at least) an 18-episode first season, reports Variety.
Privileged was The CW's overlooked new fall entry, having been buried under the landslide of hype and marketing surrounding The CW's favorite new child, 90210. Even with the odds stacked against it, the show has won the favor of critics and, let's admit it, us.
The show stars JoAnna Garcia as an aspiring journalist who takes a gig in Palm Beach, Florida, tutoring a pair of troublesome teens (Lucy Kate Hale, Ashley Newbrough) who are the granddaughters of a wealthy business mogul. Privileged is based on the books How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls.
Because there are more episodes to play with now, the CW has decided to squeeze in new episodes of Privileged on a new night to expand its audience--December 1 and 8 behind Gossip Girl--instead of the network's original plan to air repeats of One Tree Hill. Those who keep a tight schedule need not worry--those same episodes will once again air in Privileged's regular time slot.
More Privileged is A-OK with us. How do you feel about it?

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the characters being portrayed as people dealing with everyday problems responsibly. In tonights episode I especially liked the Choir singing and the music throughout the "Confessions" episode. Not too preachy but a reminder regarding abstinence and not drinking and driving. How refreshing!!!
I've lost so many of my favorite shows this year (Pushing Daisies, The Ex-List, Valentine) So i can not bear to part with another... I love Privileged!!!
Excellent!
Love the show, love the cast, Favorite show on TV right now. Keep it up guys!!!
I really like this show. It's a sweet guilty pleasure to watch. Like having a genuine coca-cola and an ice cream sandwich. (Ok I'm on a diet). But honestly JoAnna Garcia is wonderful. She actually reminds me a lot of Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy. I don't why, but she does
Great! PRIVILEGED & GG wuju...
Glad that I´ll be able to watch it for some more time! Yay!
Hopefully GG will boost ratings.
Well I hope some fans are pleased with this, instead of the usual cancellation news, that abound these days
I had been so determined not to watch this show because as much as I love Gossip Girl, I'm sick of promoting the idea that all Americans want nothing more than to live vicariously through the lives of the rich. However, I'll watch the pilot of pretty much any show and I liked it instantly, which is waaaay more than I can say for the awful 90210. Thrilled at the news.
Pass.
Good. I quite like this one.
This show is outside my normal genre picks, but I did catch and episode and it was actually quite enjoyable.
I'm glad... I think it's a great show! It's got all the rich and glam but with heart.
I'm Glad, I consider the best new fall show this season.
Bring back Reaper. Enough with these new shows that have no ratings.
thanks everyone for not making fun of me for the typo in the headline... all fixed now!
i heard about this, but I thought it was a rumor. I guess its true. Oh and for the people who only watched the first episode of 90210 it has gotten a lot better. And it keeps getting better every episode.
I love Privileged. It is so much better than i thought it was going to be. The cast is great, and the story gets better every week.
90210 Is horrible, I watched the first episode and haven't watched another since. Privileged is a great show I don't miss an episode.
This is good. Priviledged is way better than 90210.
This is good news, this show should be given more marketing than 90210 which IMO ain't that great.
this excuse for a show is picked up longer, while good shows are cancelled... oh right... you don't need brain cells for this, that's why its popular..
Yay! I love Priviliged :) They seem to be cancelling every new show this season.
I think Privileged is a most excellant show, and I'm glad that the CW is giving it a chance.
I only watched it because it followed 90210 and I'm glad I did. 90210 didn't turn out as I had hoped but at least it helped me to discover Privileged.
I love this show so of course I'm really excited. So much better than 90210 which is so contrived and poorly written it hurts my head. Just wish the ratings were higher.
Good news. Priv is a good show that deserves a chance
I really like this show, I love joanna garcia, she is so much fun!!
Its a nice fun light series. One of the new series with potential! super glad its getting another chance!
