Psych Is Canceled — Sike!

...Remember little Scottish gnome-lady Susan Boyle, the curious wee old creature who stole the world's hearts and scurried away with them back to her glen? Well, the TV Guide channel sure hopes you do. They've got plans to air I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story, a one-hour special about the Britain's Got Talent contestant turned international YouTube sensation. It'll feature Boyle opening that peculiar sound-hole of hers and singing songs from her new album. We'll be so dazzled by her sonorous voice that we won't notice her stealing our children to put in her Sunday stew. [THR]

...Psych, the USA network's popular show about quirky people, has been renewed for a fifth season. That makes it the cabler's longest-running series currently on air. Wait, does that mean they canceled Pacific Blue? Why didn't anyone tell me??? [Variety]

...It's a Thanksgiving miracle, just like the Maccabees had, one million years ago this Thursday. Singer turned mutton-faced TV personality Nick Lachey will once again grace our airwaves, for four crazy nights. He'll be hosting The Sing-Off, a competition series about people singing a cappella for a shot at $100,000 and a record contract. Sounds reasonable enough. You know what's not reasonable? One of the judges is Ben Folds. Srsly, Ben?? Didja know Lachey was gonna be involved when you signed up? [THR]

...If one of you Twi-twinkers or whatever they call you Twilight fans is just jonesing to watch that movie but were too cheap to buy the DVD, then FX is the network for you. They just purchased broadcast rights to all four of the movies in the series, two of which aren't even out yet. That's commitment! Commitment like Edvard has to Becka! Or whatever! [Variety]

...Rumors of Drea De Matteo's death have been greatly exaggerated. [EW]
