Pushing Daisies takes last breath

Ned bakes his last British pie

British Pushing Daisies fans bid farewell for the last time this Friday, over a month before the show is due to conclude in the US.

Viewers faced uncertainty over when the finale would be aired in the US-- and whether it would be aired at all -- since the show was cancelled last November.

Pushing Daisies was stripped from ABC's schedule earlier this year leaving fans unsure about the fate of the comedy-drama. It was only recently, however, that the broadcaster revealed the show's concluding episode would be aired in America this June -- months after its first European premiere.

The series finale, which made its television debut on German channel ProSibien last month, is now heading to the UK.

The episode, entitled Kerplunk sees pie-shop owner Ned, played by Lee Pace, set off on his last murder investigation after a synchronised swimmer is found dead.

Kerplunk, which also stars Anna Friel, Kristin Chenoweth and Swoosie Kurtz, ties up the show's loose ends and reveals what the future holds for the characters' tangled relationships.

Pushing Daisies concludes this Friday, May 1, on ITV1 at 10:35pm. How do you hope it will end?
