Lucky for the other nets, ABC was in reruns all Sunday night. CBS's crime drama Cold Case was the top-rated series of the night, and both Fox and NBC got a boost from football.
At 8 p.m., NBC and Fox tied with a 4.6 rating in 18- to 49-year-olds--the peacock with NFL coverage and Fox with its College Bowl Championship Series clip show and a rerun episode of The Simpsons. ABC scored a 4.2 for a rerun of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and CBS saw a 3.5 for Amazing Race. CW scored a 1.7 for 7th Heaven--that show's season high.
At 9 p.m., NBC earned a 5.1 for football. A Desperate Housewives repeat took a 4.3, while Cold Case scored a 3.9. But in total viewers, Case took top honors--14.2 to Housewives' 12 million. Fox scored a combined 3.4 for repeats of Family Guy and American Dad. The CW earned a 0.9 for an America's Next Top Model rerun.
At 10 p.m., NBC scored a 4.6 for football. CBS took a 3.9 for Without a Trace, and ABC earned a 2.7 for a repeat of Brothers & Sisters.
Overall, Fox took a 5.1 rating/12 share in 18- to 49-year-olds, with 12.0 million average viewers; NBC, 4.2/10, 11.8 million; ABC, 3.5/8, 10.1 million; CBS, 3.4/8, 12.9 million; and CW, 1.2/3, 3.1 million.

Woop! Woop!
I'm so glad to see Cold Case was the top-rated series of the night.
I mean it has great potential & not as cheesy as the other crime shows. It's actually very different.
See all the CSI & NYPD Blue's are like the same.
So I'm glad to see they ranked top & hopefully keep up there, as I am a huge fan of Cold Case.
And normally I hate crime shows. lol
Of course, the 'Cold Case' aired on 12/3 wasn't of any particuar interest. I mean, I've only watched it about 55 times. A real bore...
Sorry boyescafe, you'll have to wait quite a while for "Cold Case" DVDs. I have heard that it's because of the amount of money it costs to use music. This would not be a problem with original compositions but the music on the show is already copyrighted. The distributors would need to pay royalties to the music companies and that would be costly compared to the money they would make from the DVDs. But if it wasn't for their periodic music, I wouldn't like it nearly as much. The music practically makes the show! Without it, Cold Case would be like any other CBS crime drama.
does anyone no if you can get cold case on dvd i have tried looking in the shops and on the internet but with no sucess can anyone help
Hasn't anyone noticed that cold case is a very racist show? Most times the victim is black and the guilty party always caucasian
Cold Case is always a well-done show, and the characters have been so well developed over its run that it's difficult to miss an episode and see how each character is progressing. The time slot was a smart move by the network, because the important fall viewing data took serious hits in competition with the NFL programming. It's great to be able to view all of the Cold Case episodes no matter how late the 4:15 (Eastern) games run. In fact, the ONLY competition for Cold Case is a chance to watch the Patriots!
usually Cold Case really isn't that good, but Sunday it really got my attention. I think it was one of the better ones
Can't wait for the conclusion of The Amazing Race next week. Go Models!
cnbc
Watched Christmas Vacation, Go Chevy!!!
Go Seahawks!
Long, long time ago when a network's tv schedule with a fixture and not a revolving door. For a 13 week period each network would face off each night with the same shows opposite the other network's same shows scheduled for that day and time period. Then the ratings told you something. CBS won the night because ABC showed reruns. It is a hollow victory.
abc
"What's a rerun?""You'll find out."
Fox came really close to CBS.
