Ratings: NBC takes Monday

NBC won the Monday-night ratings fight, thanks to Deal or No Deal and new hit Heroes. CSI: Miami held on to the top spot for the 10 p.m. hour, according to Nielsen overnights.

At 8 p.m., Deal scored a 5.5 in adults 18-49. Fox and Prison Break earned a 3.8, CBS scored a combined 32 average for How I Met Your Mother and The Class, and ABC came in with a 2.6 for Wife Swap. The CW earned a combined 1.3 for Everybody Hates Chris and All of Us.

At 9, Heroes flew with a 6.5, CBS earned a combined 4.4 for Two and a Half Men and The New Adventures of Old Christine, and ABC romanced a 3.4 for The Bachelor: Rome. Fox nabbed 3.3 for a repeat of House, and The CW scored a combined 1.2 for Girlfriends and The Game.

At 10 p.m., CSI: Miami swaggered in with a 6.2. NBC's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip scored a 3.2, and What About Brian on ABC earned a 2.5.

Overall, NBC earned an average 5.1 rating/13 share in 18-49s, with 13.6 million total average viewers; CBS, 4.6/12, 13.8 million; Fox, 3.5/9, 9.2 million; ABC, 2.8/7, 7.0 million; and The CW, 1.2/3, 2.9 million.

It is clear that Heroes is the best new show this season. But just like 'Lost', 'Battlestar Galactica' & 'Prison Break' - it is simply not good enough to watch 1 episode at the time - my minimum is 3 in a row; so, My TiVo works overtime these past few weeks catching up with all these shows; and 'Heroes' comes on top, for sure. re: 'Housewives' - great 3rd season, especially episode 7 - WOW! What the hell??..- & 'Studio 60' is good to watch too. These shows, however, you can watch one by one - no need to double-up...

my rating this season:
'Heroes' 10/10
'Battlestar Galactica' 9.5 /10
'Housewives' 9/10
'Studio 60' 9/10
'Prison Break' 8.5 /10
'Lost' 8.5 / 10

I think Heroes is going to get CSI: Miami canceled even though I don't watch Heroes or CSI: Miami!

Monday's are my fave!! Prison Break at 8, shower at 9, Studio 60 at 10. What used to be the most boring day ever is now the most anticipated for me.

Mondays are good with CSI:Miami, Heroes, Prison Break, Studio 60 and, yes, even What About Brian. However, the networks have been fighting tooth and nail on Thursdays - check out this list: CSI, E.R., Grey's Anatomy, My Name Is Earl, The O.C., Shark, Smallville, 30 Rock and Ugly Betty! How anyone can watch them all without multiple recorders or downloading them later on is anyone's guess!

My main complaint is that networks neglect Friday (Battlestar Galactica and Las Vegas is it) and Saturday (*nothing worth seeing ever*) because they fall into the poor traditional trap that everyone is out partying on those evenings and no-one watches TV on those two days, which is plain rubbish!

Heroes is one of the best shows out there, for monday anyway. Deal or no Deal is ok in small doses but to much and its no deal for me..I change the channel.

Prison Break rules!! I don't see how people watch that stupid Deal or no deal at 8. People should watch something entertaining and full of suspense instead of watching mindless women walking around holding suitcases full of money.

Heroes is one of the best new shows I have seen in a while. It has so much.

Heroes is good but nothing compared to 24. Once 24 comes back Heroes will fall drastically. Right now most of its audience is just watching it as a filler until January when 24 returns.

Heroes has been great! NBC deserves this as they are putting faith in (most-of) their shows.

Monday is a night that NBC has a chance of holding onto. Except for Two And A Half Men, CBS's 2 hour comedy block is a flop. The New Adventures of Old Christine is one of the worst comedy shows on and a poor lead-in for Miami:CSI.

I agree with johnlocke108. Mondays are m best day of the week- thanks to heroes and prison break. In time all good things come to an end. Unfortunetly we only have 2 more episodes left of prison break! :(

Why does Studio 60 have to go against the CSI juggernaught...at least studio is holding its audiemce now.
And Monday is probably the best night with PB, Heroes and Studio

Monday boring??? You got the exciting Prison Break at 8 p.m. and the very entertaining Heroes at 9 p.m. I go to sleep after that so I don't care about any shows at 10 p.m.
