Renowned talkback host Ray Hadley is making the move from radio to TV, to present a new current affairs program on Sky News Australia.
Hadley will host the eponymous panel discussion show, Hadley!, in his first major television role.
He has previously appeared in The Footy Show and The Matty Johns Show, and had a stint as a sports reporter for Seven and more recently as a swimming commentator for Foxtel at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.
The weekly program will include "a panel of news makers and regular guests for a robust discussion and analysis" of the nation's biggest issues, as well as offering feature interviews.
After several years of hosting his popular radio show on Sydney's 2GB, Ray Hadley has earned a reputation for his incredibly opinionated views, which have helped him maintain consistently high ratings over the past 29 years.
"Ray is a natural talent and has proven his extraordinary popularity with the success of his radio career," said Sky News chief executive officer, Angelos Frangopoulos.
"We're looking forward to him joining Sky News as a part of our commitment to national debate and discussion."
Hadley said of his move to television, "I'm doing this for one reason, I find it challenging and invigorating. I'm in a comfortable position now to only do what I want, and when I was approached by Angelos his enthusiasm for the project was both evident and contagious."
Hadley! premieres 8:15pm Tuesday, November 16, on Sky News National Channel 601.
