Extra has been renewed through the 2009-2010 season, while co-hosts Dayna Devon and Mark McGrath have also extended their contracts with the syndicated gossip show.
Extra has been cleared in more than 95 percent of the country through 2009-2010, including the NBC-owned outlets in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
Now in its 13th season, Extra is averaging a 2.2 household rating season-to-date, down 4 percent from the same period a year ago, according to Nielsen Media Research. However, most syndicated shows are down year-to-year, many posting double-digit declines.
Devon joined the program in 1999 as weekend co-anchor and primary weekday correspondent. She then served as the show's substitute anchor and was named permanent anchor in 2003.
McGrath, lead singer of rock band Sugar Ray, joined Extra two seasons ago.
Mario Lopez recently joined Extra as co-host of the weekend edition and correspondent for the daily edition of the program.
