Yet another canceled show might find a second life online. Amazon is in talks to revive The Tick, a source tells People.
The superhero parody, based on a Ben Edlund comic, first ran for three seasons as an animated series in the '90s. Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld's David Puddy) starred in a live-action version for Fox in 2002, but the network canceled it after only nine episodes.
Warburton would reportedly reprise his starring role, with Edlund producing and writing.
Good on Amazon for being interested in bringing back this cult show.
While I wanted more of this when it was new, I wish they'd just let this one stay dead now. Not everything needs reanimating or rebooting, and I'd rather retain my good memories of the original than have them run the risk of turning out something awful.
(On the other hand, more Liz Vassey in tights would be fine...but that may not be enough to change my mind.)

For all you people shouting "SPOON".....Tick was actually forbidden to say "spoon" in the live-action version. It was a product of the cartoon, which Fox had sold to Disney. This is also why American Maid and Die Fliedermaus were revised.
