Earlier this month, Heroes fans' jaws collectively dropped when news hit that one of the show's actors actually wanted out of his/her contract. The identity of the dissenter was unknown, but allegedly it was one of the bigger names on the roster and a regular who has been on since season one.
While fans picked their brains trying to figure out who the unhappy camper is, it appears that EW.com has narrowed it down to two: Hayden Panettiere and Ali Larter. Says the site's sultan of snoop Michael Ausiello, "I can confirm that one of those actresses [Larter or Panettiere] has indeed asked to be released from her contract. But I hear NBC is unlikely to allow it."
The actress' discontent allegedly stems from a lack of camera time, and writers have acquiesced and written in a death scene for the actor's character should she fly the coop. However, if negotiations don't work and the actor is retained, writers also have a plan to easily bring back the actress through one of Heroes' death loopholes (in this case, Claire Bennett's regeneration abilities and Tracy Strauss' wonder twin powers).
One would assume that the actress in question would be Larter, who has seen her character be little more than a throw-in this season (ice powers? Boooooring!). On the other hand, red-hot Hayden would stand to gain the most from moving on given her popularity.

Hayden i guess...she did indeed see lesser screen time and focus on her character since season 2 started...Ali already has movies on her hand. It doesn't really matter to her whether she stayed on Heroes or not.Hayden on the other hand, seems to be tied to Heroes and has no other development heard of yet...

I hope it's not Hayden, I don't think I'd continue to watch if the character of Claire was no longer. As much as I like Ali, I don't like her change of character, I liked her better as Niki. Yes, Claire whines a bit, but she's a hunted teenager caught in a violent war headed by her two fathers....I think I'd be a bit upset too! I am a huge fan of the show and I hope the show doesn't end anytime soon.
Frankly, I'd rather see Hayden drop off the map. Yes, yes, she's so young and yet so competent at acting... when the acting in question is the hammy over-the-top stuff Heroes seems to be made of (these days at least). At least Larter has some range. Hayden has crying and pouting.
Hope it's Ali Larter that's leaving. She's been the weakest link on Heroes since day one.
I hardly think Hayden would have that much to gain as she is a terrible actress. Still, this show did kill it for KBell so it's entirely possible she has talent I suppose.
I think the show needs to just end. After a fantastic 1st season, the show has been horrible. I'm tired of Claire constantly whining about crap.

I like Hayden, so I don't want her to leave! The big change that I would like is to bring back Kristen Bell. In the Heroes universe, anyone can be brought back from the dead!

Both of them. They are rubbish. Larter used to be alright but Tracy is naff. Claire has the same lines every episode.

If i have to be honest,I think the best charater in the complete story of heroes was Niki. But for some reason writers get dry brains, and they didnt know what to do with the character. So really, who have the idea of Tracy being a good solution. I think the best thing they can do is bring Niki back. Ali is the most sexy, beatufull and talented actrees on heroes. So bring her back and kick Haydeens butt off heroes. She is so anoying all the time, i just hate her. For heroes to return to the cuality of the first season kill haydeen and peter petrelli, they are just anoying.

It's not Hayden can't be, Clair is a core character. Ali on the other hand, don't like what they've done with her. So I'm assuming that it's her that wants out and I don't think too many fans will be upset, now if it's Hayden yes there will be fan upset about that.
I agree that the cast needs to be cut down. Most of the characters have out lived their usefulness. There is nothing more to learn about them. Personally, I would like to see some new characters added in (very slowly and carefully) while the number of characters is cut down. I feel as if there are too many people with abilities, people with abilities are no longer special. This new season is a perfect setting to replace some of the characters. Another option would be to end the series. I do believe that the actress should have the choice to quit. I feel as if both characters, and most of the cast, has outlived their usefulness. Heroes has gone downhill since the end of the first season.
My guess would be that it is Ali who wants to leave, since she doesn't get very much screen time. But I really hope neither of them leave, because I love both Ali and Hayden. I would be so sad if one of them left.
Makes sense if Hayden wants to move on due to the rise in her popularity.

I say Larter cause if the character is complaining about cam time then its her. She hasn't had much cam time lately which is a real shame cause she's the hottest chick on the show! And the writers really do need to come up something better for her character. I mean come on now, Freezing powers, really? At least giver her like storm's powers from x-men or something. Or something that would be better is if one of her tiwns came back to life and she had Rogues powers.

I agree with Finalsequel. Heroes definitely needs to cut its cast down so that it can grow as a show. With so many main cast members, the overall story is just a bunch of seemingly unrelated events until we get nearer the end of the volume. Like with Villains for example.
However, since Panettiere has disproved rumors of her leaving, my assumption is that it's Ali Larter. Though, based on the clues when this hit the internet, I still believe it's Masi Oka.
It's probably Ali Larter who wants out. To be honest I wouldn't care if either or both left. I think Heroes would benefit from some cast trimming.
It's definitely Ali, her character was so whatever this season, as was her power. Nikki's ability was a lot more interesting. Claire has been one of the most important this season, she's everywhere, and if Hayden's the one complaining, well, I don't see a lot they can do about it.
I LOVE Ali but would sympathize with her since it appears nobody on that writing team knows what they are doing with her character. SO let me give you guys a thought. BRING back her original character, (yeah she's suppose to be dead but what they heck put her in a regenerative cocoon ala Jean Grey in the old X-Men Phoenix saga) and FIND the other sister who she got her split personality from to be alive and then bring the three of them together. Call them the "TRIUNE DIVINITY" and make them a force to be reckoned with! Have them being used by OH I DON'T KNOW Arthur Petrelli or even that whack job of an older son Nathan. I kinda see Arthur like the Mr. Sinister of this show so yeah we know he "supposedly" died bring him back and jump start the story and all is forgiven. AND can we come up with a name for "The Hatian" already? I get offended FOR him every time they refer to him. It's kinda like saying "The Jew, or The Muslim, or The Arab". Here's a thought call him "Jean Paul Louis" it's a name that works.moreless
am hoping its hayden, her character is getting on my nerves she has since the very first episode, why does claire have to be in every flamming storyline of the show. i think the show kinda lost it when sylar finally copied her power, i feel that its gonna be Ali that leaves because she is hardley in it, she was my favourite character of the show and when they killed her at the end of season two was devastating and kinda of annoying cos they already killed off DL and now micah has no parents. lets just pray Ali stays!!
I think it's going to be Larter. Tracy hasn't been on-screen that much this season. I don't think it'll be Hayden - Claire has had (too?) much screen time.
I think that it is Ali Larter. There are so many people on heroes it would be a good thing for either one of them to leave.
I hope its Ali because she doesn't really get that much camera time and since Claire(Hayden) does i doubt it is her. And if Claire is dead i will not really like the show anymore.
you would think it would be Ali Larter because Hayden Panettiere's character can't die and all. Also if the reason is because they are not getting enough air time, you'd think it would be Larter, because Panettiere aka Claire is on a lot.
Based on the actresses, I want Panettiere to leave. But based on the present characters, I want Larter to leave. Claire has been increasingly annoying since last season, but I like Tracey a LOT more than Nikki/Jessica.

I just read an article in the latest issue of tv guide saying that Ali Larter wanting out of Heroes is false. So maybe it's just rumor at this point, how we love rumors. lol
god, i hope its hayden panit..eoefgjvbskjfnb whatever her name is...she's so annoying and i spend most of the time watching heroes wanting to slap her annoying face and telling her to shut up! but i love ali larter :)
Hopefully, one of them will be allowed out of their contracts. Honestly, I can't stand either or them because their characters are so annoying. Ali Larter's character(s) particularly so because of the whole psychotic thing last season. All the craziness with her twin or somebody coming back from the dead this season didn't help either. On the other hand, Claire gets so much screen time & so little character development that she has been reduced to some lofty-minded spoiled brat. Maybe we'll get lucky & they'll both leave!
I love Ali Larter but she gets very little time in the show... if they showed her more we could get more attached to her but w.e i guess she will be out cuz obviousdly is not claire. nobody wants hayden in a movie (only in a cheerleading one) so yeah keep up your inmortality girl
Here's my theory it's Ali Larter because she is getting more Movie work and less screen time on Heroes. Also if they kill her off and she wasnts to come back they have the ace up their sleeves with the third twin who has not been introduced Barbara. So if her acting career dies again she could come back as a third incarnation. Am I right or what? I like Larter I don't kno why people hate her so much. I hate New Jersey and she is from there but yet I like her strange huh.
