Ricky Gervais Is Apparently Saving His Nastiest Golden Globes Material for Twitter

Like a prized fighter with a heavyweight championship around the corner, Ricky Gervais has been practicing his jabs in anticipation of this Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards on NBC. And the world will most definitely be watching, if only to see if he can top last year’s blisteringly uncomfortable affair. We’ll be here the morning after to rate how he did, insult by withering insult -- but in the meantime, he’s a little amuse bouche to get you in the mood. Ricky tweeted this today:

I'll be tweeting from backstage at The Globes so you don't miss me when I'm not on air. Might even be more fun as I have no TV censorship.

You know, that actually will be more fun. Get to following Ricky, if you don’t already.

Ricky Gervais is a self-important, preening no talent who got lucky with the British version of The Office. Perhaps he should return to old blighty, from whence he came.
