Acting couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are developing a comedy project for the CW network loosely based on their real-life experiences in the soap opera world. The untitled comedy has received a script commitment from the network, which recently arose from the ashes of the defunct WB and UPN networks.
Ripa, who co-hosts the syndicated talk show Live With Regis and Kelly, and Consuelos met on ABC's daytime drama All My Children. Consuelos most recently recurred on Hope & Faith and costarred on Lifetime's 1-800-Missing.
They are not the first acting couple to turn their real-life experiences into a comedy for CW. All of Us, cocreated and executive-produced by Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, moves to CW in the fall after three seasons on the WB.

At least it's not about how Tom Cruise met Katie Holmes. Now that one would really suck.
Why do they keep giving this silly woman tv shows? She blows. She needs to go away...far far away...
Oh, brother!
