Rob Brydon lands his own TV show

Rob Brydon has landed his own BBC Two
series

The Gavin And Stacey star - who has been given a BBC Two programme - is to be joined by a musical star each week and will duet with them.

The Rob Brydon Show will feature the funnyman sharing insights into his world with anecdotes about his experiences as a dad, husband and a famous face.

Brydon said: "I don't think I've ever been this excited before."

As well as his stand-up routines, there will be a hand-picked guest comedian plus musical guests.

BBC Two controller Janice Hadlow said: "Smart, funny and with his own distinctive style, he's the perfect compliment to the fantastic range of entertainment across BBC Two."

Brydon has previously tasted chart success with a spoof No 1 single (Barry) Islands In The Stream, alongside Gavin And Stacey co-star Ruth Jones.

Brydon has had his own comedy shows in the past with Marion And Geoff, The Keith Barrett Show and Annually Retentive.
