Can't we just call her Betty?
When ABC recently announced that it was breaking up Ugly Betty's current season and showing the final episodes this summer, many saw it as the network sweeping the show under the rug with an off-chance that it could very well be canceled any day now. Not so, according to an online report.
Ugly Betty is just a few signatures away from being granted a fourth season over at ABC, an inside source tells EW.com. This is obviously good news for fans of the US adaptation of the Colombian telenovela, who were recently biting their fingernails over Samantha Who? and In the Motherhood taking its time slot until the snow melts.
Also close to renewal are Grey's Anatomy (not a shocker), Desperate Housewives (no brainer), Brothers & Sisters (sure, why not?), Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (I guess), The Bachelor (solid performer), and America's Funniest Home Videos (economy-friendly decision), says the source.
So far there is no word on ABC's other shows. Cross your fingers with me, Life on Mars fans.

Life on Mars.... yes please!! I love that show (watching it in NZ at the moment). Also, Grey's, AFHV, B&S and Ugly Betty too are really a good choice.
Looking forward to In the Motherhood, saw the websodes on MSN and they were pretty funny. Also, looking forward to the return of Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, and hopefully Life on Mars. ABC is renewing Ugly Betty for a 4th season, and dropped Dirty Sexy Money, still questioning that executive decision.
Life on mars fans?! pffft, what about SWho? and Practice?! and what about Daisies? I understand its gone, dead, and with no chance of an undeadding but still - it really sucks to know it wont be back!

Pushing Daisies was a great show i really liked it,UB is a super and funny azz show i hope they will keep it like forever!!!!!!!!!!!
ABC should have never cancelled Pushing Daisies! It was a very unique... Still it's great they're renewing all those shows, big fan of them myself :D

I'm glad Ugly Betty is being renewed as I do still enjoy it. I'm also happy for Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters and Grey's. I wish they had kept Pushing Daisies though.

I hate ABC for cancelling Pushing Daisies... But I'm happy for UB fans that they don't have to worry... You know you're really lucky.
Happy to hear that UB is still going to continue to delight its' fans. It still brings a giggle and a tear but really would like to see Jesse out and Gio back in.
I hope they keep Life on Mars it is really starting to get good.
I'm sorry, but why is ABC not bringing back good shows like Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies -- but we're biting our nails over these crappy ones? Life on Mars is okay (not as good as the BBC original), but Jason O'Mara and Harvey Keitel are definitley no Victor Garber & Jonny Lee Miller.
Just end this show already. Does anyone actually enjoy it?
Of course. I never feared, for a second, that UB was going to get canceled.
