Bones actor Ryan O'Neal and his son, Redmond, were arrested today after an early-morning police raid of their Malibu home. The pair were taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine, a highly addictive (and very gross) Schedule II controlled substance, and released on $10,000 bail each.

After a June conviction for driving under the influence and possession of heroin and methamphetamine, Redmond O'Neal was sentenced to three years' probation and enrollment in a drug treatment program. Reuters reports that today's events were related to the terms of his probation.
Father and son are not the only O'Neals facing drug problems this year: Ryan's sister, Rescue Me actress Tatum O'Neal, was arrested in June while buying crack and powder cocaine from a homeless man on New York's lower East Side. At first she claimed to be "researching a role," but later admitted her addiction and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. Brother Griffin O'Neal has also battled drug addiction in the past.
Redmond, 23, is the child of Ryan's marriage to actress Farrah Fawcett.

Haha I love dysfunctional celebrity families. Losers. I felt sorry for Tatum at first but once somebody doesn't learn their lesson forget it, it's a lost cause.

The important thing here is that they've found something they can do together as a family.
So sad really, they are a talented family that is squandering their lives away when they could be doing something important to help others, unfortunately they can't look past their addictions. Tragic.
