Samia Smith believes Maria Connor isn't
that straight-laced
The actress said that could be the reason why Maria has had a disastrous love life - and why she is getting closer to sinister Scot Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien).
Speaking on the ITV1 website, she said: "I think Maria likes a sense of adventure in her life. She's a bit of a naughty girl deep down!"
Samia admitted: "She doesn't really understand why she's got these mixed feelings - I don't think it's clicked why she's feeling like that.
"There's a hell of a lot to play out yet between Maria and Tony... I've got a feeling the birth isn't going to be as smooth as other people's. That's going to be exciting and a bit embarrassing to film."
