Sawyer Finds a New Job

... It's a question that's been on everyone's mind since May: What is super hunk Josh Holloway going to do now that Lost is over? The actor who played bad boy Sawyer on the island now has a new mission. Holloway is joining the cast of Mission: Impossible 4, alongside Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, and Jeremy Renner. [E! Online]

... With Lone Star riding off into the great sunset in the sky, Fox now has a vacancy to fill on Monday night. The new tenant will be Lie to Me, which returns to its old timeslot behind House. Lie to Me was originally scheduled to return to Fox's schedule on November 10. [Fox via press release]

... And the other Lone Star domino to fall involves Human Target. Originally scheduled to return this Friday, the action show now gets a bump up to Wednesdays (where Lie to Me was due to come back) starting November 17. Even though it's been delayed, a move to Wednesdays is good news for the show. [Fox via press release]

... A lot of manly men have complained that True Blood, once a goldmine for topless females, got "really, really gay" this season. Well, that's okay with GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). The group declared the series the most gay-friendly show on television, with six gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender characters. But what does the American Vampire League say about the show? ... In the wake of Discovery's suit against some of the stars of Deadliest Catch, a trio of captains have walked the plank. The network sued Captains John and Andy Hillstrand for allegedly not completing some work on a spinoff. Now the Hillstrands and Captain Sig Hansen have opted to quit the show entirely. [THR]

... Sam Raimi's production house, Stars Road Entertainment, has sold three projects to three different networks. ABC gets a drama about a "female vigilante with a law license" (yawn); CBS gets Lancaster, about a Scotland Yard detective who joins the LAPD (snooze); and Fox is going with Smokers, which follows a documentary crew (snore) that follows "working class heroes who exterminate alien threats in deep space" (wake up suddenly). ... First it was Bieber, now it's Dita. CSI has booked fetish model Dita Von Teese for a guest appearance. She'll play a "classic Hollywood femme fatale" because seriously, what else would she play? Look for the episode in January. [EW]
