According to Variety, Microsoft isn't sponsoring Seth MacFarlane's upcoming special anymore.
The two big names had originally partnered up to promote the new Windows 7 program, but Microsoft backed out yesterday after "it became clear that the content was not a fit with the Windows brand." MacFarlane's program, "Family Guy Presents: Seth and Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show" is set to air on November 8 and features live-action skits and animated segments with Alex Borstein, who voices Lois on Family Guy. Variety noted that, while the animated portions of the show were relatively tame, the live-action stunts were too much for Microsoft.
One word: Weak.
This thing was a bad idea from the start, but now it's just ridiculous. MacFarlane's selling-out fiasco aside, Microsoft was clearly trying to sit at the cool kids' table -- and now they can't even handle the dirty jokes! It's freakin' Family Guy! What did they expect? Wholesome, age-appropriate programming? Let's just hope MacFarlane and Co. can salvage what they've got and quit trying so hard with all the sponsors.

Excellent! It's about time somebody stood up for morality. This program needs to be pulled and banned. Sure we have the guarantee of Freedom of Speech and Expression, but there is limits to the First Amendment. This program is degrading, demoralized, and blasphemous and should be removed from television.
Blatantly you are either a child who has been brought up in a strictly Christian household where swearing is banned and even the parents don't, or alternatively, you are an extremely overprotective parent who is scared of their children copying what they do in the show.
More publicity for this over hyped star. I have a feeling this is just Microsoft trying to grab free publicity by refusing to partner up.I can't wait to see this turd. I liked MacFarlane but with how big his ego has blown up, I can't imagine it being anything but a sad attempt at expanding his empire.
add a commentthis is why people are fake and why they are idiots
it got to show you watch the show before u deside to be a sponsor duh! Microsoft all i can say is vista killed my comptuer enought said
Guys, this is the company that photoshopped a white man's head on top of a black model in an ad. How they got so far into involvement with McFaralane is a mistery to me.
Too raunchy? But publishing "Gears of War", "Halo", and "Fable" is okey dokey?
lol what were they thinking and the people that think up these things make millions a year! I hope MacFarlane still got paid well and dumb spits at Microsoft ate it.
So, can some one link me to where it says he was never in this for money? I'm just curious, because I don't see how it's selling out. He's in it to make money. If he can get paid extra to make a show more towards one direction, and still keep his audience, it's the right thing to do. If someone one can link me to an interview or something of him saying that people that do this are bad, or that he would never do this I'll succeed to the point otherwise the people calling him a sellout are kind of pathetic.
whatever, seth macfarlane is getting richer as we speak
Wow, that IS idiotic, I agree... XD
Ha, extremely lame. Well, selling out was a bad idea in the first place.. but at least this way microsoft ended up looking like a complete idiot..
Yet another in a long line of stupid moves made by Microsoft. The software has sucked for a long time, they are getting their butts kicked by the Mac adds, Vista was an astounding flop, they had a chance to get a good thing going with the Family Guy ads, and what, now they figure out that F G is a bit on the raw side when it comes to humor/jokes (great humor indeed ), and cut ties. Let's just hope they don't go back to using the lame ads with Bill Gates in them.
Looking forward to Seth/Alex's new show :D.
wow what a bunch of idiots DX. and no the joke will not be in any eps this season since they finished them all. it'd be more likely if they put in next season or the live thing they have planned for next month
Not really a fan of Family Guy, but if my hunch is correct, Seth's gonna turn this into next week's episode's joke.
That is the reason I am a Mac person. It would be hilarious if they go and really trash Microsoft in an upcoming episode.
Why the hell did they even begin sponsering Family Guy in the first place, and then back out so quickly. Isn;t Microsoft aware enough that Family Guy isn't a show for little toddlers? Weak Microsoft, weak.
I agree it was so weak
It just shows Microsoft can't keep there word and partner up with anyone and just back stab them later. I kind of enjoy that I don't support MS and get it all free!
Microsoft has never been able to run a good marketing campaign...as opposed to Apple. Common, who's gonna buy your product -10 year old kids huh?
Apparently, none of them have ever seen a single episode of Family Guy. I mean, seriously, what did they expect?
LOL, they dropped him, that really was weak Microsoft.
