Watch the First Ridiculous Teaser for Sharknado 2: The Second One (VIDEO)

I think we're gonna need a bigger umbrella. The first footage of Sharknado 2: The Second One has hit the internet, and it looks like the fishy meteorological anomaly is fully prepared to take a bite out of the Big Apple. Yes, come Wednesday, July 30, a whole storm of sharks will be raining down upon Manhattan, and there's only one person who can save the day: Superman Roy Scheider Ian Ziering! Have a look for proof that Tara Reid is still alive—or at least that she was still conscious at the time of this filming.

My favorite part was the bit with the sharks! How about you?

Also, just in case you missed the first Sharknado, catch up on all the complicated mythology by revisiting Price's photo recap.

Sharknado 2: The Second One premieres Wednesday, July 30 at 9pm on SharkFy.

What noooo! They didnt name it Sharknado 2: Waterspout.

Well here's hoping they name the 3rd one Sharnado 3: Dust Devil.

But yeah, they should go back to real sci-fi and stop this uber crap!

Definitely read the review from the first one. The only reason I watched the movie was because I laughed my head off after reading the review.

I've seen my share of films that were "so bad it's good"... but this one didn't seem that extreme in either sense.

So while I can see a really bad film just getting a huge cult following... this one didn't really seem like it would be the one. I have to wonder how much of it was due to Twitter hype.

The first one is amazing. It's the kind of movie that is so bad that's good.

Just the fact that Tim Surette made this small post here about that .....Ensure a win for Syfy.
Some movies just need to be ignored, left in the deep dark hole where they should never had come from. No exposure no commercial (unless we are paid for it)

"How is this a thing?"

I blame the schools. After years of declining standards, the average American in the 10 to 25 demographic that these shows seem to be aimed at probably believes these are news or weather reports, and just want to be sure there aren't any sharknados reported in their parts of the country as well.

Uh, when they were in the 'submit ideas for the sequel' phase, my idea was new york city, specifically using the tag line "take a bite out of the big apple".

Needs more Zombeavers, less Tara Reid..:D

I think interest in these bad films will suddenly drop leaving Syfy without anything to rely upon.

Yeah, it's been, what, 60 years or so...bound to fall off soon...lol..

But Syfy's movies aren't classic B films. They're modern cheap films made just to cash in on classic nostalgia without being half as interesting.

They've been making them for 13 years, and they've made roughly 540 of them, so while their popularity might reduce to previous levels I don't think the market is going to disappear completely. Some people just like bad movies. After all, Troma is/was a thing.

So was I. I just included the ones before the name change.

I was referring specifically to Syfy's movies. They've only made about 130 including ones based upon TV shows like Battlestar Galactica: Razor. Their latest trend is to mimic classic bad films such as Jaws 4. They're not bad enough to be good, they're just bad.

Somehow, I don't think classic is a name associated with many Corman movies of that era..;)

Damn it! Now I really want to see this one too. I feel so dirty - like an old perv that can't stop sleeping with prostitiutes. what is wrong with me? I've taken the piss out of tv shows that are far more sophisticated than this, so why do I find this so entertaining?
