Sherlock Co-Creator Casts Himself

SPOILER: If you haven't watched Sherlock's first episode look away now!

It must be very tempting, when writing a TV show, to cast yourself as one of the major roles. Let's face it: we'd all think about it if we were in that position. That said, it still came as a shock when, during Sherlock's first episode, the League of Gentleman's Mark Gatiss--who also co-created the detective drama--popped up as the lead's brother, Mycroft.

The BBC kept his appearance a closely guarded secret before the show's airing, last night, but now we can bring you our exclusive interview with Gatiss as he explains why he chose to star in the show…

The full interview will be uploaded soon, alongside further cast interviews, clips and previews.
