Shobna, who plays Sunita Parekh, enjoyed getting her teeth into stage roles during a four-year break from the soap.
Speaking on Loose Women, she said: "The one thing I wish Coronation Street was, is that I want it to be live. I would enjoy it a whole heap more, I think."
Having joined the show in 2001, she missed out on its live 40th anniversary broadcast the year before.
However, Loose Women panellist and former Corrie star Denise Welch did take part in the live broadcast, and didn't enjoy the experience.
Denise, who was pregnant at the time, said: "It was just horrible. I hated it. I thought I was going to give birth during the episode."
EastEnders transmitted a live episode this year for the show's 25th anniversary.
But Corrie bosses have ruled out going down a similar route for their 50th anniversary in December.
