NOW SHOWING: Season 4 premieres Monday, September 21 at 8 pm
AIRS: Monday at 8 pm, NBC
WHY YOU MIGHT LOVE IT:
Because the super sexy characters have awe-inspiring superhuman powers -- the death-defying Claire (Hayden Panettiere), the time-traveling Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) -- and the story will always leave you guessing.
WHY YOU MIGHT HATE IT:
The plotlines can be overly complex, making it impossible to jump in at random episodes. Even some fans even have a hard time keeping all the stories straight.
Remember wanting to fly when you were little? Imagine finding out one day that you could. Or that you could freeze whatever you touched. Or that you couldn't die. Heroes indulges every one of those childhood fantasies in a manga-style science-fiction drama with an extensive cast of misunderstood characters, all of whom are struggling to understand their powerful place in the world. The characters began to discover their extraordinary powers in Season 1, and since then they have struggled to understand why they have these abilities and what they're meant to do.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
After three seasons of touched-by-God syndrome -- during which the heroes ran wild with their powers -- the characters are coming back down to Earth and trying their damnedest to lead normal lives. Claire (Hayden Panettierre) is going off to college. Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) is going back to work as a paramedic. But the heroes can't escape their destinies. The challenges they face in Season 4 will likely be the biggest ones yet, thanks to the casting of Prison Break and Carnivale star Robert Knepper as the villainous Samuel Sullivan.
