Nickelodeon's arena spectacular was a gob-smacking, goo-loving event. And the kids just loved it.
His popularity proved unstoppable with teens, tweens and kids winning two awards: Fave TV Star and Fave Aussie. He even won an Ed Kavalee-hosted Burp Off against Andrew Gunsberg before eventually landing in a slime pit at the end of a green slide.
The "Friday the 13th" KCAs were certainly a spectacular affair. No wonder Melbourne's Hisense Arena was a sell-out. On stage was a huge three-storey colosseum with 300 kids, a slime waterfall and a versatile stage that became the centrepiece for musical acts, awards and a lot more slime.
And it was slime the kids wanted. Benji and Joel Madden fired it from slime jets across the audience, Fave Aussie Band Short Stack were squirted from a trick podium, and a tug of water between adults and kids ensured Shaun Micallef, Josh Thomas, James Sorensen and Nacho Pop landed in a pool of green goo.
Jessica Mauboy, voted Fave Aussie singer, was the opening musical act, while Cassie Davis sang as dancers performed and host Delta Goodrem sang an acoustic number with the Good Charlotte boys -- both joining in on each other's songs.
Miranda Cosgrove burst from a giant cake to win the Fave Comedy Show for iCarly, MasterChef Australia's Julie Goodwin and Poh Ling Yeow accepted the Fave Reality Show to the screams of the kids. "Eat your veggies!" yelled Poh.
In staging, imagination and sheer scale the KCAs upstaged other awards shows including the ARIA Awards and Logies. Even Miranda Cosgrove told fans she had been to other KCAs overseas, but none were as big as this.
Guy Sebastian closed the show with "I Like it Like That" amid a glitter and slime explosion after winning the So Hot Right Now award -- a title that could aptly be given to the show itself.
