So This is Why Cheryl Cole Was Fired From The X Factor

... Oy mayt, watchoo think uh me accent? Fox HATES it. Apparently the reason British babe Cheryl Cole was fired from The X Factor is that Fox couldn't understand a word she said. Ouch. At the show's recent auditions, she was reportedly booed by audience members. Yikes. That's a brutal way to go out, especially since she gave up her seat on the UK version of the show to make a splash in the States. Rumor has it her chemistry between Paula Abdul was nil as well. Personally, I don't think Cole has to talk at all. [Daily Mail]

... Finally! People who like to have sex outside of their marriages are getting their own reality show! Lionsgate TV is developing Bedroom Community, a docudrama following swingers (and not a XXX porn parody of NBC's community college comedy). How did this take so long!?!? [Deadline Hollywood]

... I know you've been waiting with bated breath for NBC's Love in the Wild, but unfortunately you'll have to wait a little longer for the show that combines Survivor, The Bachelor, and a steaming pile of poo. NBC has pushed back the premiere from June 1 to June 29. The network didn't say why, but I assume it has something to do with embarrassment. [NBC]

... It's never too early to start developing shows for the next next season, right? ABC is moving forward on a TV adaptation of the book My Formerly Hot Life, a memoir about a woman who goes through the ups and downs of dating in her post-early-20s life. Kind of like almost every show ABC is putting out this year. [Deadline Hollywood]

... Lost's Rebecca Mader will make a guest appearance on Covert Affairs, continuing to show-hop as she racks up guest appearance credits. She'll play a German flight attendant who helps out Auggie. [TV Line]

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, BuzzPenny.com

@PinkPanther8085= as I'm sure you know, not all Americans are like that, just most of them. It also depends where you visit. People in New England and the South have probably the most noticeable accents in this country. If you go to some place like the West Coast or Minnesota people don't really have accents there. And, I have visited Canada a few times (Ontario) and everyone I heard speaking there didn't seem to have much of an accent.

Wow, Americans are special! I'm Canadian and I can't tell you how many times I've been to Boston, New York, Texas, Mississipi, Louisiana (the list goes on and on...) several times and I'm always told that I have a thick accent. Seriously people??? Its like your ears can't understand anything thats not "American"...broaden your horizons a bit! Her accent wasn't that bad at all

Comments like the one from linkthehero82 are why Americans are held in such high regard by so many. I sound like Cheryl and when I was in America I may have well of been speaking martian. The geordie accent is no harder to understand than Irish or Scottish, I suppose they speak badly as well Arithon.

I would like to correct DanFixx who said "Nobody knows this girl. Outside UK nobody cares."
This implies people in the UK give a hoot about her. Totally untrue - I can't name anyone who likes her or much understands the mauled drivel she speaks. There is a wide gulf between an accent and speaking badly and Ms Cole falls squarely into it.

It was a joke her being a judge anyway considering she never sings live (ok she cant sing i know) for her to sit and tell people some of which can sing they need to improve. Dont know what the big hype about her is shes so false

Using the Daily Mail as a source? So that probably means it was nothing at all to do with her accent... jeeze now I'm starting to wonder if she was really fired, or maybe Cheryl Cole doesn't even exist.

I have the same accent as Cheryl and American people have no problem understanding me at all. I find it offensive that she was sacked for her accent, however you guys are right when you say she's not really particularly talented or good at anything.

I'm not a native English speaker, and I've never lived in an English speaking country. And still I understand different British accents perfectly fine, including Cheryl's Geordie accent. Why does it seem to be so hard for Americans to understand anything that comes from outside their own country including languages (even their own language), customs, culture and pretty much everything else?

She is a huge star in the UK, God knows how, she can't sing or do anything really, oh yeah, she's really cute, and that is apparently all that matters. Really pleased she's been taken down a peg.

Sheryl Cole is a regional starlet. Take a tour around Europe or the rest of the world and ask people. Nobody knows this girl. Outside UK nobody cares.

You do know it's only a matter of time before Community gets a porn parody. 30 Rock has one, why wouldn't Community?

"Personally, I don't think Cole has to talk at all." is a line that possibly belongs in Mad Men for its outright sexism. However, having suffered Cheryl for the past few years on the UK X Factor, ya'll're fortunate to not have to suffer her retardom any further.
