Last night Channel TEN revealed the Top 20 finalists of it's reality dance show, So You Think You Can Dance Australia.

Meet the 2010 finalists:

CARLY

Where we've seen you? I tried out for the last season of SYTYCDA and have featured in two Bonds TV commercials.
Favourite dance moment from film, TV or theatre? Definitely Flashdance where she pulls the bucket of water on herself.
If I weren't a dancer I'd be... An actress.

DON
Dancing style: Breakdancing / Hip Hop

Hometown: Mount Druitt, NSW
Dancing since: 10 years old
Earliest memory of dancing: Sidestepping and clicking during pre-school and winning a trophy for it.
If I weren't a dancer I'd be... I'd be at home playing PS3, eating rice or playing basketball.

DOUG
Dancing style: Jazz Funk / Broadway

Hometown: Perth, WA
Dancing since: 5 years old
Who first inspired you to dance? My mother got me to dance when I was young and Michael Jackson kept me going as I got older.
If I weren't a dancer I'd be... I'd be a Mac genius or a helicopter pilot.

GAZ

Where we've seen you? I was a semi-finalist in Australia's Got Talent, was an extra on The Strip and have featured on Totally Wild and Toasted TV.

Favourite dance moment from film, TV or theatre? My favourite film is The Sound of Music. I used to hire it from the video store and then hide it when it was time to return it!

Earliest memory of dancing: My first dance class was tap. I remember being really shy but picking up the steps fairly quickly and my teacher showing a high interest in me.
Does anyone else in your family dance professionally? My sister started dancing when she was young, but then I took over from her. Our family is very music orientated -- we have always had songs playing throughout the house.

Earliest memory of dancing: My first concert at preschool. We performed the toddler version of The Nutcracker -- lots of skipping!
Craziest job you've done? A couple of years ago I did a show for Hair Expo inspired by Edward Scissorhands, complete with scissor blades for fingers. It was pretty wild!

Earliest memory of dancing: Dancing in a white tutu and jiffies as a "cloud" on a blue tarp in the car park of McDonald's for McHappy Day.

If I weren't a dancer I'd be... I would still be doing something creative -- that seems to be the only part of my brain that interests me! I would have kept working on my music (I started studying the piano before I started dance). Singing and acting are things that I still want to do, but I've also just recently been interested in interior design.
