Sue Jenkins is set to guest star in
Doctors
Tom, who is best known for playing hapless Lofty in EastEnders, plays a layabout husband whose wife (played by ex-Brookside actress Sue) is terminally ill.
As if that wasn't enough for the pair to deal with, they are later rocked by the news their daughter Carly has fallen pregnant after bedding the local gangster.
The mum-to-be's role is filled by Emily Fleeshman - Sue's real-life daughter.
The episode will air in July.
