Though the cast kept mum about big plans, E! Online's Kristen Dos Santos was able to eke out a bit of information from Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps, Katie Jacobs and David Shore (the last two are producers) about the upcoming season of House. The season premiere airs on FOX on Sept. 21, but for now, we'll have to survive on a few morsels of information:
-- The season premiere -- but not the whole season -- will take place in the mental institution that House checked into during last season's finale, according to Shore. Jacobs also said, "This season opener is really going to begin shortly after those doors close behind him. We're going to wake up there and going to cover—storytelling wise in two hours—two to three months and that journey of rehabilitation that House feels he may or may not need, that he does need."
-- There will be conflict between House and his doctor at the institution, Dr. Nolan (Andre Braugher). Jacobs noted, "House's version of how well he needs to be to go back to work and Nolan's version of how well he needs to be to go back to work is very different."
-- House will debut his new shaved head! "I have a slightly institutional look," said Laurie.
-- While House is at the institution, Foreman will be in charge, but according to Epps, "Everyone is going to be second-guessing themselves."
--House and Cuddy could still get together! In regards to the on-screen relationship, Edelstein said, "I loved the way they handled it because for one thing, it means they can still have sex. Because they haven't done it yet. ... I think we learn a lot about him and we still have the opportunity of exploring it ..."

Looking forward to everything next season except the overly forced House/Cuddy relationship. It just doesn't seem natural. If they could pull it off in a more casual way while keeping their employee/employer relationship and their awesome banter then I wouldn't mind but I'd rather the story focus on House and the medicine.
i CANNOT wait for season 6! its gonna be so awesome! i love house. but i wonder what they will call cameron now? and will someone replace Cutner? hmm.. but mainly i wanna see the huddy-ness!!!! xD :]
I know it sounds insane but I don't want House rehabilitated! But he'll get better for a while, lose his confidence when he first returns then get back on his feet and keep kicking ass
House will go back to work better than ever I know, I just House and Cuddy would finally come to something!
House in season 4 and 5 were so much funner than earlier seasons.
Apparently, Hugh felt that by shaving his head that the character of House has done a Britney Spears. Ah, well. I'm really looking forward the the season opener and seeing Andre Braugher back on tv. I'm sure the seens between House and Dr. Nolan will be intense. One thing I'm not really looking forward to is the possibility of House and Cuddy hooking up. I think Lisa seems to want it more than most. The way I see it is that House does want a relationship and Cuddy just happened to fit the metaphore in his mind about the type of woman he would like a relationship with. I really do enjoy the push and pull of their relationship and I really think that putting them in a relationship would kill the chemistry.moreless

I was surprised by the ending of the last season and I do hope that the mental institution won't changed the much-loved house character.
God I love House!! But I don't want them to shave his head! I love his look, including his hair. I really loved last season. I love the ending when House confront Cuddy about them sleeping together and it turns out it never actually happened, it was all in his head. And he just freezes and looks so chocked and scared. You just feel for him in that moment. And then Wilson comes and takes him to the Institution as the rest attends Cameron & Chase's wedding. Now that is great television! I'm not to worried about whether House and Cuddy will hook up or not. It's bound to happen sooner or later. There is no way in hell that the show would end without them having hooked up. That would be like ending Bones without Booth and Brennan hooking up. But on that note; I want Booth and Brennan to get married and have like a gazillion babies. That goes for House and Cuddy as well.moreless
The premise is great, the only problem I have is that when House isn't around his team gets into the habit of guessing what House would do and try to read what House would do, which is truely annoying.

As he walks out the mental hospital door House is gonna pop a few Vicodins, when he's high enough, he's gonna go to Cuddy's place and finally have sex with her (at least that's what I'd like)
I can't believe people are so superficial that they can't see "House" with a shaved head. I think it should add to the story line.

I have every confidence in Hugh Laurie to pull off whatever the excellent writers and producers of the show throw at him. So, I look forward to the new season with relaxed anticipation.
That shows how much of a committed actor Hugh Laurie is to shave his head for this. Not many actors would do so. Looking forward to it already.

OMG it cannot get better than tha. I'm a bit worried about the whole shaved head thing and i bet if he ends up looking weird viewers might be lost. However, if anyone can pull it off it's Hugh Laurie
I think it leaves it leaves it wide open for anything to happen. House you definitely go through mood swings but under it all he will still be the same smart lipped quipping doctor we want to see. I'm sure when he comes back everybody will be walking on egg shells around him, not knowing what to say or how to act. He will get tired of it and tell them all to grow up. I doubt that House and Cuddy will get together. That tension between them is a big part of the show, and once you remove it, you change the whole dynamic of the show.
Kingsoftv.... If you haven't seen the end of season 5, why would you open something about season 6??
I know how it feels cos I live in Australia, but that's why I avoid stories about shows I watch until after they're done.
eg. I avoided a LOST story on here about the finale for 3 weeks until it was shown here, then went back and read it, just like you should have.

KingsofTV: I feel your pain about not being able to go on a single TV website without having something spoiled about a show you love, but it does say "Spoiler-Free Secrets of Season SIX". They won't spoil Season 6 and the title indicates as such.
I know other countries see seasons (series?) later than the US and it's the same for me (in the US), say, if I have not yet caught up and I find out spoilers that are only spoilers to those of us not up to the most current episode.
Sorry man. When I see a name on an article of a show I love, I run the other way (figuratively speaking).
