Spoiler: New twist for Corrie Gail

Gail Platt's (Helen Worth) nightmare is
going to get a lot worse

Twisted killer Tracy Barlow, played by Kate Ford, sets out to frame Gail (Helen Worth) in exchange for her own freedom, the Sun reports.

Jailbird Tracy is reportedly offered an early release deal if she can extract a confession when the widow is held on remand over the death of her husband Joe.

A source told the newspaper: "With just three weeks until the trial, police tell Tracy they're willing to do a deal if she can get some new evidence, or a confession, from Gail.

"Viewers have forgotten how manipulative Tracy is. She'll convince Gail they need to trust each other and offers to watch her back."

Cops arrange for the pair to share a cell, and Tracy encourages Gail to open up, only to keep a mental note of her words so she can twist them for police.

The actress left Coronation Street in 2007 when her alter ego was given a 15-year jail sentence for murdering boyfriend Charlie Stubbs.

She reappears on screen in May when she is allowed out of jail for one day to attend the funeral of her grandmother Blanche.

A Corrie insider teased about her return: "Tracy is in prison with Gail and no doubt up to her old tricks."
