What to watch on Thursday, April 28.
When you are out walking your dog tonight (or stealing car stereos or whatever), take note of the flickering blue glow in all your neighbors' windows. Ah, television. We are all united.
Seven seasons is a long time to front a hit sitcom. I'm guessing. Look, I don't know that for sure, but it definitely SEEMS hard to star in a hit comedy for seven seasons—certainly harder than starring in, like, those twelve measly episodes Ricky Gervais did that one time—yet Steve Carell made it look so easy! And tonight it all comes to an end. Sure, The Office's ensemble format is such that it probably can live well past Michael Scott's departure, but it still needs to be said: We're losing something important tonight. Tune in for a super-sized farewell to one of television's greatest characters.
The Vampire Diaries
On the eve of the full moon, Elena and Stefan spend one last day together before her impending sacrifice at the hands super-vampire Klaus. Why don't they just flee town, you ask? Haha, silly question—you must not watch this show! In other news, tonight also marks the return of Tyler, Mystic Falls' hunkiest werewolf.
It's a night of painful truths as the team investigates a murder suspect who's burned tons of bridges by tellin' folks how they are. Meanwhile, the case inspires each of the team members to attempt to practice some honesty in their own lives. (Because that's what we all need: a judgmental girlfriend who smells like human remains.)
The Big Bang Theory
Tonight Sheldon finds himself included in a WOO WOO WOO LADIES' NIGHT OUT!!
Millionaires' lives can be so zany sometimes. Witness tonight, as Liz tries to give her apartment a dream makeover, plus Tracy returns from a trip only to find that Kenneth has stolen his circle of friends. (I hope that when I am a highly successful millionaire, all my problems will be so zany.)
Tonight our favorite charming rogue and his hard-working teammates investigate a couple of botched robberies that resulted in at least one corpse and probably tons of hurt feelings. (Robberies can be very hurtful.)
